Any Naturals doing this?

After reading the original post on Saturday, I tried this technique Saturday night. Actually, my hair came out softer than usual. I think on occassion I will try this method, but I still want to do more research before I fully put away my blowdryer.

Oh so silkyfizzle and smooothhhhh. I am such the punk. I can just hear my ends splitting from even the thought of trying this. Is your hair relaxed or natural

Lovelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Aries chick!! Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice....:grin::grin:

I did a section of hair partially damp before and the result was quite nice...I will do whole head soon...

Your hair looks great! What kind of flat iron do you have? I tried this last night but my flat iron kept turning itself off. :ohwell:

You know you wana join us come on fellow Aries chick.....move over to the dark side.

Just a thought for the ladies that are thinking about damage:

Heat is damaging PERIOD. So if you do this alot over time...it will more than likely cause damage. Not because your hair is being "boiled" but because you're using direct heat.

I understand there are concerns about boiling the hair but the water is evaporating as soon as the heat touches it. If it doesnt, you need to air dry hair a bit more. You hair should be no less than about 85% dry. You do not have to re-wet your hair...if it dries before you flat iron it, its ok.

You got that swang swang and that bang bang. looks great. I did a damp flat iron on my daughter yesterday cause Im in braids and wanted to try out my GVP iron. The results were ok, her hair did seem to be more moist. I may return the GVP and upgrade to the Sedu.

My two birthmarks. Wish they were in a more noticeable spot, but I'll take what I can get.

HEY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE BROWN COLOUR IN YOUR HAIR?

I was wondering the same thing. That's cool if you have natural highlights. I really love natural highlights.

Yes I was born with them. They naturally grow in. In my siggy you can see the new growth. They were platinum blond when I was born. They got darker over the years. People used to get on my mother because they thought she dyed my hair as a baby and as a child lol.
