Lately I've been doing it whenever I remember, which turns out to be every other day. For a while I was doing it everyday but then I had a lot of buildup and my hair started feeling sticky (especially when I would sweat!). Just wondering what others do . . .

I definitely dont moisturize everyday, either. I just dont see a need to, especially if you're using a good deep conditioner and a leave-in. I dunno, thats just my opinion:)

Normally every other day. I notice that I have to moisturize less when I totally airdry, which is most times. There are times when I have to finish off the airdrying with a few min of the blowdryer. Those days following the BD, seem to call for a bit more moisture everyday. But, mostly every 2 days or so for me, as long as I shampoo and condition twice a week. I never do anything to my scalp, though. I like to massage my scalp with oils as a pre-poo, though. I do it about 10min before the wash.

I leave my scalp alone (unless I'm doing a special, pre-poo essential oil treatment/massage).

Since I wash and deep condition 2x each week, my hair and scalp stays pretty much moisturized but I'll moisturize my hair as needed if for some reason it becomes dry. I moisturize my ends each morning and night.:)

I rarely oil my scalp b/c it usually ends up weighing my hair down. I moisturize my hair 2-3 times a week in extreme climates. And I apply no more than a quarter size amount of moisturizer.

When I first joined this board, I started moisturizing nightly, sometimes again in the morning. This just began to seem like it was too much, so I slacked off a bit and moisturized as needed. Now that I'm in the Baggy Challenge, I moisturize every night again. However, with this method, the product has all been absorbed by morning and my hair feels great!

I moisturize my scalp every night since I've begun to use the baggie method. It helps to soften my ng too.

How do you baggy your whole head? I'm having a tough time visualizing this . . . .

Daily, my scalp likes stuff (oil, alma, brahmi or whatever); it's itchy when I don't nourish it. It's still skin, right?

I love your twists sareca, did you use extensions or is it all yours b/c it looks really soft unlike the twists done with extensions

I never realized that that's the same for me. I normally airdry and my hair doesn't seem to be moisturized as often. But if I am in a rush and use the diffuser my hair is beyond dry. I actually am itching to leave work now so I can go home and wash my hair.

I moisturize daily because I rinse/wash my hair just about everyday.

Yes this would be me. Every single day. night to I moisturize before I put the cap on my head at night just a little and then I seal the ends. I didn't last night and I could tell the difference in the am so I washed it out in the am and started again. I never ever get build up. I don't clarify anymore.

cute. :)

That's how my mom is. She oils daily and her hair and scalp are doing well, as a result.

Everytime I see her pics, I think the same thing. Makes me want a set!

It took me a long time to put 2 and 2 together on this one. It was not until I really started seeing that pattern. I still airdry with every wash, but if I wash during the week, I run out of time and have to speed it up at the end. I always have to moisturize more on the days following that.

I am itching to get home to wash my hair tonight, too. I shampoo on wednesdays and sundays, but I have an assignment that was due yesterday and I have not turned it in yet. If I email it by midnight only 10 points will be taken off. I think I need to hold off on my hair and do my school work. Thank goodness I airdried Sunday. :D My hair is not dry and can go another few days.

I moisturize my hair (focusing on the ends and the NG if I have any) every night. I don't typically put anything on my scalp, but I use Boundless Tresses every other night (before moisturizing).

I've abandoned daily moisturizing. I wash every two days now and my leave in and butter keeps my hair feeling moist and silky until the next wash.

If it's hot or my hair just feels really needy I might give it a little spritz of plain water.

this is my experience too! as for the poll, nightly with olive oil just on my hair and mtg twice a week on my scalp.

Everyday, and sometimes twice a day, I smooth or spritz on some S-Curl. My hair has been so dry lately. Living in the northeast makes for super-dry hair in the winter. :(

But, spring is coming!!!! :)

Thanks :) It's extensions. You gotta find a nice soft texture in your kinky kanekalon hair. I recently found one I love. It looks and feels like natural hair and it's super lightweight and very shiny.

Everyday. Sometimes twice a day, concentrating on my ends. I alternate using jojoba oil (on my scalp), coconut oil, surge #9 and Carol's Daughter's Mimosa Hair Honey.

I'm natural so it's a must for me to moisturize everday. I do this twice a day (in the morning and at night).

My hair is a sponge....I have to moisturize twice, sometimes 3 times a day. When it is really hot I wear braids so that I can just wet them in the morning add my moisturizer and I wont have to moisturize again...sometimes.
