Interesting - I deep treat every weekend for at least 2-3 hours, sometimes overnight if I don't feel like getting in the shower before bed. Leaving conditioner on for 15-20 minutes jsut gets my hair soft enough to comb through without ripping it out - if I want it to stay moisturized for a whole week (even with daily leave-ins) I HAVE to condition it for at least 2hours - and I've noticed the longer, the better.

It might be because I put honey in my conditioner, and that doesn't have an 'expiry' time......

Me too. :)

5-10 minutes usually; Sometimes I get really lazy and leave it in my hair for 2 hours (I like watching movies) or overnight.

I chose 40-60 minutes but I'll actually leave a conditioner in my hair as long as I can if I don't have anywhere to go, I'll even sleep with it in.

I deep condition for 15-20 under my dryer. I remember reading somewhere that any longer doesnt provide much benefit to the hair, so I keep it as short as possible and its worked for me.

I deep condition 20 minutes with heat, and then I just chill and leave the conditioner on longer while doing stuff around the house.

OT: OMG, Babygurl, your hair is amazing!! Congratulations on your progress.

I deep condition my hair for about 1 hour. I generally do 30 minutes without heat, only because I'm eating or cleaning around the house and then at least 30 minutes under the dryer

10-15 while Im in the shower. The steam form the shower seems to help. Every once in a blue moon under the dryer.

With heat: 30 minutes
Without heat: Until....... :look: Sometimes I leave it in my hair for hours if I'm busy......or watching an interesting movie...or two. I've even left it in overnight on several occasions to no ill effect. But I always use a cap.
Same here.

OT: Thanks so much Priestess!

Sometimes, I sleep in the deep conditioner with a plastic cap. The next morning, my hair has absorbed all the conditioner.

yeah me too, I usually leave it overnight=great results, especially because I only deep condition once a month, other than that I do pre-poo every week

Depends on what I have to do that day. Since I discovered how well a hot towel works, I do this with a plastic grocery bag for 20-30 minutes. If I go without heat or baggie then its an hour plus

I usually deep condition 30 minutes with a plastic cap. I recently bought a hooded dryer I'll probably opt for 20 minutes when i finually use it.

I deep con. for 30 mins. or longer. It all depends on what chore I am doing is completed because that determines what time I rinse it out.

My stylist told me to follow the directions on the container b/c many times we overdo it when we don't do that. There should be directions. It really depends on the deep conditioner and what it is supposed to do but I have seen anywhere between 5 minutes to 30 minutes. It just depends on the type of deep conditioner being used.

I usually plan to deep condition my hair with a plastic cap under a warm dryer for between 30 to 45 minutes. What happens sometimes is that I will sit under a dryer for that long, but it may be longer before I rinse it out. I try to allow at least 5 minutes for the hair to return to a normal temp or room temp before I rinse.

with heat-thirty mins

same here....i dc for hours when i put it on, throw on a plastic cap, a cute hat or scarf over that, and run around to the gym, to do errands, etc.

I never leave my deep conditioner on for less than an hour. Sometimes I may do it longer but 60 minutes is the minimum and I do so with a plastic cap without heat
