Yes. Any style that hides your length is fine and protects your ends.

Is wearing all-natural braids or two-strand twists acceptable for this challenge? I am having trouble finding a phony-bun that actually matches my hair color. IYO, do y'all think i will be doing more harm than good if i dye my hair to match the pony? I really want to do the baggy method but I just can't see myself wearing that 'hair sock'.

Braids/twists are fine just hide those ends as much as possible, twist them into an updo. I wouldn't dye your hair just to match the pony unless you can use a simple rinse to achieve the needed color. I personally have not had very much success with my healthy hair and permanent dye. There are ladies here that do it and their hair is gorgeous, but my hair can't handle 2 processes I think. JMO

Count me in! I pretty much only wear protective styles anyway. My styles of choice are: phony pony, instant weave, UPA clip, phony bun, or a small French twist (not enough hair to do my own bun quite yet). This should be easy *knock on wood*!

I am trying the baggie method as of now. The results were great. My hair was very moist and it helped a whole lot with retaining length. Since my hair was buthcered when I got it "trimmed", The baggie method is helping a whole lot more.

Okay I just got my new braids today...and even though i was tempted to relax....I didn't so that means I haven't relaxed since the first week in October...I have no idea how long my hair is since I was hiding it from Oct until jan...with braids.....Now I'm doing my second bid...lets see what April will bring Hey might even keep it going for as long as I can but we will see.

After a bit of a set back (I cut about an inch off ), I am back at armpit length, and I am NOT going to measure the length until at least April.

This may curb the hair anorexia for many of us
