I want to join, this will be my first challenge! I guess I can use my phony pony and I'm thinking about about getting my first sew in.

Does this include no relaxers too? Sorry I'm slow. My last one was in June and I was thinking of doing one, but I could just keep stretching.
 
I'm in!! This will be my first Challenge--actually this is my first post since I am a newcomer. :) I'm so excited about this forum!! I just got 2-strand braid extensions yesterday especially for this challenge.
 
*I needed to vent this...I knew my April Fools Challengers would understand...*

I officially and happily started this challenge around 4 in the morning (1/1/07)....because my hair DID NOT like what went down this weekend with it...:mad:

the sweat/wetness from dancing and flinging my hair like a white girl at the club on Friday...:mad:

it didn't like being out on Saturday:mad: and it didn't like being pulled on Sunday by someone who obviously had lost his *&((*& mind...:mad:

I could almost hear my hair crying :( ... and cussin :mad:

I slapped a mess of conditioner and oil on my hair as soon as I got in during the wee hours. Did a nice CW, massaged in some Kids Organics Moisturizer and Ojon - put into two pigtails and pinned up.

No more outdoor exposure until beginning of April:p and I am darn happy about it.

*strokes wig*
 
I have a new hairstyle. Half in cornrows and the rest is a rollerset curls. Will this style be OK on the challenge?:ohwell: I will be getting my pics posted sometime this week.:) My friend did it for me. If that isn't OK, I'll be wearing a headband wig.:cool:

You can relax while on this challenge. Just keep hiding it after the relaxer.

It's ok because it doesn't show your lenght, but I think the best thing is to get it off your shoulders and back, especially in the dry winter. You could try pinning the curls up, it would look cute.

I'm quasi new and I cant find the acronyms reference page. What is bu again? And can someone send me the acronyms page if you have it. I'm just going to save it as a word doc. Thanks!!:D
 
RabiaElaine....I am excited about your challenge! I cant wait to see all the hair growth from these wonderful LHCF ladies.

I am not going to join yet...but I will do the 6 month one until Christmas :D

No Problem :)

Speaking of which, how do you personally bun & baggy your hair? I did it once, and it left my ends super-mushy and they broke off.

Add me in too. I technically started on 1/1/07 and will be keeping my hair in a bun/braids until graduation (4/28)!

Add me in too. Starting tomorrow (I have a ponytail today) i will start bunning my hair and will not release the beast until April :)
