Hide Your Hair Til April Fools 2007 Challenge

dang it I wish, I could join but I'm bout to take my hair out of cornrows and get a relaxer. I have hid my hair in cornrows for about two months now. I need to let my hair breathe and do roller wraps for awhile. I'll do the next hide your hair challenge.

Addy please join us anyway. You can still hide your hair after getting a relaxer just put it in a ponytail with the end tucked under. If not try and join up as soon as you stop wearing roller wraps :)

Welcome to all of the challengers thus far!!!!!!

I just want to remind everyone to take a starting point picture for the reveal later :)

You should take a starting point picture. You can post it or not, just make sure you have it availabe to post for the reveal in April.

REMEMBER TO TAKE STARTING POINT PICS!!!
Hi Ladies,

I know we just revealed our Christmas updates but I think it's time to gear up for the next challenge. This time we'll be hiding until April 1st 2007/April Fools Day. I think we can pretty much keep the rules of the last challenge if everyone agrees...which are?
  • Hide your hair in whatever protective style you wish
  • Keep your hair from being seen by as many family/friends as you can
  • No posting of update pics until the reveal at the end of the challenge
The challenge would start on January 1st (after everyone gets home from their New Years plans) and end on April 1st for a full 3 month challenge.
You get passes for special occasions to wear your hair out.

God's Anointed here are the rules. They are in the first post :)

I hope I have enough for a ponytail after I relax my hair. I will need to learn how to bun up my hair. And then I probably can go back to my cornrows after my birthday(feb5). Hopefully, that wouldnt be too late.

For the fellow challengers:

What protective styles do you ladies plan to use to hide your hair?

I ask because I'm sure I'll tire of buns/tucked in ponytails very quickly because I LOVE my hair in curls. I'll love to know how the rest of you will hide your hair so I can get some variety with styles.

I was going to sit this one out but after I saw your post about the Clip In Weaves...I'm In, I'm IN!!! :yay:

My special day will be my wedding and then it's up and outta sight! My starting length is my avatar.

Happy Hair Growing Ladies...

I've already joined and I'm excited about this challenge. This is my first challenge and it's timing is perfect after getting my hair wacked off. Three months is perfect for a newbie challenge. I have NEVER worn a bun for an entire 3 months because I enjoy wearing my hair down on Sundays to church. I have already started and have worn my hair in a bun all week. It's not too bad because my bun was actually a pony tail that I thinned out and then wrap it around with a scrunchie. I had to invest in some nicer scrunchies. My relaxer is scheduled for January 27th. I will wear it down that following Sunday because of a special service for my husband. That's my one pass. Monday it will go back in the bun and I'll rock this (even Sundays) until the next relaxer March 31st. Yeah! I can do this! Help me Lawd!

I'm in!!! I wanna see if I can bounce back from this postpartum mess that has been going on with my hair.

I'm in, after seeing everyone's progress from the Christmas challenge I will gladly join this one. I am going to bun and phony pony it until the end of January and then get some Senegalese twists.

Are there any ladies that will be using wigs to hide their hair? This week I've been wearing mine just to see how it'll feel but I feel like my hairline is going to be a problem using the nylon wig cap. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can do so that my hairline stays healthy?

I would say baby it and keep it moisturized most importantly...

I've been patiently waiting..........I'm definitely in!
