I was in a sew-in. That had to be my most fav. sew-in EVER...it looked so natural!

This is how long I want my Real Hair to get one day!

I had in long extensions. I remember when we first kissed and he tried to put his hands in my hair, I was like "um..I gotta tell you something." lol I probably scared him a bit but he never said anything. We eventually moved in together and he got used to seeing random tracks around the house. haha

Here's a pic of how I used to wear my hair. It's about 6 years old and I have ditched the extensions.

LOL,

I was 17 and I was under a scarf it was late at night, he drove my best friend over my house and I was in my PJ's ;) I was natural and had double twist in my hair, LOL

Now we didn't start dating until I was 23 :D I wore a Phony Pony and before we got busy I took it off to reveal my WL hair and he was like I have sisters so it doesn't bother me. LOL, I was like okay!! :D it was great other than he didn't also realize I was TENDER HEADED and he couldn't pull it as he desired without inflicting unwanted pain. :D

i wore my hair in a wrap so it was always straight, then i started doing braid outs and he did not like when i wore it like that. I think it was because on my badge for work i had my hair in a braid out and the pic is horrible i wish i could put it on here, but ever since then he says it reminds him of that pic. we are not together anymore but are still friends and when i see him and i am wearing a braidout he always makes a face. lol

lol, that's crazy...cuz I remember having to tell my SO something like that as well. He was SOOOOOO bent on running his fingers through my hair...*sigh* I had to tell him the truth. He was cool with it though. Til this day he still admits that he didn't think I had any hair when I first removed my tracks...he was suprised as to how long it was (it was only like full shoulder length...he act like it was soooo long )

JJamiah: at least you had alot of hair to show off right before yall did the deed! :yep:. I bet his jaw dropped to the floor! lol
I bet you RL was longer than your phony-pony!

((((( XXXXXX))))))

It was longer than the Phony pony (I tend to favor shorter lengths)- but his Jaw was dropping ----> and not for my hair LOLOLOLOL :lachen: Okay Okay, I am trying to be good LOL

When I first met my SO I was apl. So I guess you can imagine that he felt some type of way when I BCd and only had .5in on my head. When her first saw my twa he was like oh my Gawd I can see your scalp :lachen:

I needed this app!!!

I was relaxed at the time, with it being about APL. I also think it was dyed to a reddish brown color. No pics. I even went digging through my photo box, but nothing. I don't have very many pics from my college days, I was always the one behind the lense. I didn't mind at the time, but am kicking myself for it now. But I digress....

We started dating and a few months later I chopped it all off and started sporting my TWA. He says I did it on purpose, waited until I had a boyfriend before doing the BC.

This was me/my hair style when me and my SO met 3.5 years ago.

It was a quick weave that I just glued down to my hair ( pre LHCF obviously) and left a piece out in the front. I don't remember the brand but it was a bohemian curl. I was hoping that when I went natural that would be my curl pattern...reality.check.:lachen:

ETA: Forgive me. I didn't realize the pics were that big.

ETA2: This is the best pic I could find of what was under the weave.

When I met my husband, I was relaxed with layered APL hair. On the day we met, I was wearing a tight rollerset that looked like a rodset. It was my second time doing it and I didn't have the right anti-frizz products, so my hair was enormous but cute! :) I was hanging out with a group of five women with straight hair, so I really stood out with my big curly, 'do. In fact, my husband later admitted that my big hair was the first thing that he noticed and liked about me.

PREFACE:I know this has nothing to do w/ the thread
BUT

I don't know who does your eyebrows but they are the BIZ-NESS!!!!

Oh my god my hair was texlaxed, wavy, long (about mbl stretched?) and dry and brittle as the sahara, OH and it had ORANGE streaks in it.

ORANGE.

I'm not sure I have any pics from that time anymore, but I will search.

ETA: i remember when DH and I first got together and he asked me, will you get mad at me if I touch your hair? I died laughing, but then said yes, only because the orange bits may break if you're too rough.

Mine was pulled back in my signature ponytail. Parted on the side, edges smoothed down, the rest pulled back.
Luckily he's not too hung up on hair at all... he'd like it anyway I wear it, tho he thinks I'd look fierce w/ one of those short funky hairstyles. He'd like me natural, w/ a twa, dreds, whatever. He's the first guy that's not really hung up on my hair. My ex in particular would really try and scold me for cutting my hair lol, he just loves his long hair.

When I met my husband I had a short curly afro. After we got engaged he asked me in church would I grow my hair out for the wedding. Of course I couldn't say no so I started to grow it out. I used to have long hair in my early 20s but I got tired of taking care of it and chopped it off. I kept it short up until 2 years ago!! Now I love my hair!! All of my hair pictures are in my fotki!!

I met my bf in highschool after a geometry test, i had a fake pony that was the same color as my hair. Ever since then he has seen me in sew-in, clip-ons and now my natural hair.

Okay so when we actually met online and every pic he had seen was of me with a sew-in or wig on. Well our first date, I had an old sew-in that was on it's last leg. First date was that Thursday, next date Friday, made it official Saturday(yeah we moved kinda fast), took my sew-in out that Sunday and he was like "why'd you have that weave in?? you have hair!"

and we've been together ever since. Between the installs, lace fronts, full caps, and now the transition, he's been incredibly supportive. But he's gotten on my mom's side a little bit. They think I don't need to hide my hair anymore b/c my hair is "so long". They're trippin! I'm wearing wigs til the cows come home

The first time, I was relaxed pulled back into a pony.

When we met again last year, it natural pulled back into a pony

I was rocking my trusty Bohyme Braz weave...he thought it was mine, the first thing he saw he said was my hair and then my smile :lachen: I immeadiately told him it was a weave. he was like " you damn sure fooled me"

quick weave 20.jpg

My hair was relaxed and about neck length/almost SL but I loved to cross wrap it in the back and tuck the ends under and secure with bobby pins so it'd appear as if I had a very short cut. (Pic) That's how I had it the day we met.

My hair was in a bun. I wasn't even trying to look cute that day. It always seems to happen that way!

Funny you should mention this because, last night I stopped by the gas station to fill-up. When I went inside to pay for the gas...this guy was checking me out..like HARD! I was trying my best to ignore him. So I hurriedly hand my money over to the cashier and walk out....how about this dude DEAD A$$ waited until I was done pumping gas, pulled up beside my car to try and holla at me?!Mind you...I had my hair in a bun and i'm currently 7 (going on 8) weeks post! But I guess hey...when you got it...you jst got it....no matter how your hair looks lol. *brushes off my shoulders*
