Ok, I've been mentioning my DH and all that, but forgot to mention that I got married last month. The weather, the day couldn't have been better. I had a very small bridal party (BM, MOH, FGs), and we all walked down the aisle to Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Grover Washington Jr.
I focused most of my money and attention on the venue, because that was the most important element of my wedding to me. We wanted to marry near the location we met, and wanted a venue that could do ceremony/reception/parking. We even stayed in an old-fashioned suite there on our wedding night. It was the perfect venue for us. I was very low-key about everything else so that I wouldn't be going crazy over every little detail. At first I was on every website, reading every magazine...then I realized that I work FT--I can't get caught up in everything some of these bride(zillas) get bent out of shape about. Everyone said I was the most chill bride they'd ever met, and that our wedding was like having friends over at a house party--and that's just how I'd wanted it to feel.
And yes, being married is also very nice.
Oh, and yes, since this is LHCF, I wore my NATURAL HAIR in a flexi-rod wet-set for the wedding. I'd opted not to press it.
Don't have any professional photos yet, but here are a few.
