Fermodyl 619 EXTRA STRENGTH vs. REGULAR

Hello Ladies,

I ran out to Sally's to buy 619 regular at the BOGO free sale and it was all GONE! (FYI: I immediately thought to myself, "One of those LHCF ladies came in here and racked up!" LOL)

Anyway, the only thing left was 619 Extra Strength...is there a big difference between the two? I'm natural by the way.

Are there any naturals who use 619 Extra Strength?

I think the description said 619 was for coarse/curly hair and 619 Extra Strength was for chemically treated/relaxed hair.

TIA!

I think the extra strength is for relaxed hair-- I take that to mean they included a lot more protein in the product. With that said, most naturals do not need protein like a relaxed head of hair. I believe It could lead to a hard/brittle feel---and thus, breakage. So back to the sale-- is it for the 3pack or single tubes??!!

The regular fermodyl 619 is an awesome leave in for naturals by the way. You should google the ingredients and compare the extra strength. In fact, I think someone already posted about the difference between the two on a thread -- u should do a search.

I only use the regular 619. I don't want to chance there is protein, it isn't worth it. I went to the Sally's near me and all the 618 for curly coarse hair was gone. Which I thought was interesting considering you don't see that many naturals in my area. I still can't figure that one out and there was plenty of the relaxed 619 left. :ohwell:

I caught the same sale last week. I compared the ingredients and the 619 XS has protein & cones, 619 reg has neither of these. I've never tried the XS, but I'm protein sensitive.

Oh i caught the sale also. Well I used to buy the 07 and then they were runnin out of them and I brought one pack of the 619. I noticed that some of my 07 i think maybe the extra strength one had some alchol in them. So thats why i picked up the 619. I definietly do not want anything to dry my hair out.

I brought about 4 packs....
