Mixed Review: CHI Silk Infusion
I used a quarter-size amount on each of four sections. It was like I was flat ironing my hair bare. I had almost finished my whole head, and I decided to get heavy handed with it to see what would happen, and WOW! The one little section in the front that I decided to place a quarter-size amount on was silky, straight, and shiny, the way I wanted my whole head to be. Next time, I will use more, but I cannot afford to go through a whole bottle of this stuff every time I flat iron. When is the generic coming out??? Also, the next time I washed my hair, it felt :look: like a different head of hair, in a good way.

Didn't your hair feel more silky and sleeker when you washed it, mine did after using the chi.

MISS: Proclaim Cholesterol Conditioner

Got it b/c it was only 99 cents at Sally's... lefted my hair feeling coated and hard :(
I feel like I'm being punished for cheating on my Moisture Plus...

Potential Hit: Capilo Sole and Cinnamon
Leaves hair very soft and has a nice tingle to it

Potential BIG HIT: GARNIER SOFT CURL CREAM
Soft, moisturized defined touchable curls!!! Smells good! Now if henna hadn't jacked up my curls:mad: , i'd have a WINNER!

I have two jars of this. One completely unopened and one that has about 90% left. They are yours if you want them. This did nothing for me.

MAJOR HIT:
Profective Growth Lotion: I have had a chance to use this a couple of ways. First on wet hair as a moisturizer. Perfect bun. Then on dry hair to re-roll a rollerset at night, perfect springy bouncy moisturized curls. My 3 day old rollerset looks like I just did it. Shiny and beautiful. This stuff is a keeper! :)

Omigod, I want this stuff so bad, I have a picture of an ad for it. Too bad I'm in PJ rehab. :(

B- I ain't even gonna lie. I am not in recovery. This is some good stuff. But, use it sparingly. A little goes a long way. (But I might have to buy a bottle or 2 just incase it starts "disappearing" off shelves!) :sekret:

BIG HITS:

Dabur Amla Lite oil: Smells great, wonderful ingredients and is light enough for everyday use

Giova
nni Direct Leave-in: My new love. Great on wet or dry hair, adds body and moisture, detangles and is now a definite staple.

On the Fence:

Chi Silk Infusion: The cologney smell is horrific, but it's supposed to be a an excellent heat protectant. I supppose there's no way for me to verify this, but my hair does not seem any smoother, shinier or silkier since I've been using this.

Misses:

None so far...

I have more stuff to add...

MISSES
Nexxus Humectin - It just doesn't compare to humectress for me

Palmer's Olive Oil something - I think it was the hairdress but it left my hair feeling greasy and didn't really do much else

Hit: Curl Junkie Hibiscus and Banana Deep Con---this stuff smells so good and leaves my hair feeling wonderful
Giovanni Nutrafix--- Where has this thing been my whole life? As soon as I put it on my hair, I could feel it turn silky and it made my normally dry hair look so healthy

Miss: Nexxus Heat Protectant Spray---this stuff left my hair looking dull and lifeless, no shine

Not sure: Elasta QP mango butter---love the smell and the thickness, but I don't really know if it moisturizes my hair :perplexed . I will try to mix it with oils next time before applying it.

I never even thought to do this, plus I usually only find it at Target.....but let me know if you are able to work out that deal, because this stuff is, hands down, the best moisturizer I've used.....but now bmoreflyygirl is making me want to try the regular Organics version of this....

Okay, I co-sign with you....this moisturizer falls into my hair product must haves (along with Phytorelaxer, NTM DDC and White Rain Tropical Coconut)

Now...why am I clueless...that there was a regular Organics version?

Ooh, I will be jogging to the BSS after work on Tuesday, I've got like a day's worth left of the Kids in my bottle...I'm all shaky and what not....

I only have a little left too...and don't feel bad, i didn't know there was an Organics version of this until now either...:lol:and she said it's thicker, so i can't wait to see how my hair responds to it....

and off topic....you have got some Beautttttiful hair there Ms. Naturallylovely:p

Miss...........Alma Oil. :nono: I just can't make myself get over the pissy smell. I did a pre poo with it today and I almost washed it right back out. Even with EO's that original scent stands out. I will try the Alma Lite Next time around.

Did you use Dabur Alma Oil? The one from FNWL isn't so bad.

I will have to replace this one with the FNWL. I have the Dabur Alma Oil with the dark haired lady on the bottle. :nono: Thanks for the information on the FNWL oil!

Hey MonaLisa,
It was like butta... Soon as my check comes on Friday I am ordering a mess of Cassia! I rinsed under my shower head with Dove Moisturizing Conditioner (forgot to add that ...) :D

Hmmm.... I usually order my Henna and Amla powder from Mehandi...I might have to make the switch to Henna Sooq.
