Good thread.
Sometimes it shines, sometimes it just has like alittle "sparkle". Most of the time if it just has a sparkle its kind of dry.
I like to color it black, use clear rinses, and use porosity controll not only to lay the cuticles down for shine but also because it has like small glitters in it.
Also WGO (better than coconut oil fo me) on straightened hair, and a clearish product with alot of glycerin in it for airdried/curly hair (creamy ones seem to leave it alittle duller)
It also shines more like right after a flatiron, or in a well combed bun...not so much if its in curls or something or its not fresh.

You use it as a leavein. I've got alot of shine compliments after this.
It will leave a coating...for that reason I use it like overnight before shampooing w/regular products, or in between shampooing and conditoning, or actually mix it w/my other conditoner.

Im going today too LOL
I WAS gonna flatiron, so I wanted to get the olive oil heat protecting spray. But I'm just gonna rollerset. If they have an olive oil leave in, I'll probably get it. If not, I'll get the olive oil dc and olive oil mega silk conditioner
