I voted that it shines a lil but I wish I had more, sometimes I wash and the shine is blinding, but that may only last a day or so, and then there are other times when it comes out dull. I know it has to do with the products and the techniques I used, so now it's must a matter of focusing on nailing down exactly what they are.

I have found that my hair really shines when I use Simply Stylin Silk serum. I just got this stuff and I love it.

I've always had a good shine to my hair. I think the coarseness and low porosity (my hair is not overly porous, my hair is not porous enough) of my hair has something to do with it. Nothing can get in because there are layers and layers of cuticles that are naturally tightly packed down.

That leads to shine :)

but I officially moved up to bling when I started using henna :yep:

My hair shines a little, but I wish it shone (is that a word? ) more. I see some pictures that dang near BLIND me from the bling! I wanna have that bling, too!! :cry3:

Does your hair shine?

No, my hair is usually without any product so no shine here. If you look at it really closely in some light, you can detect a little sheen, but none when seen from any further. My naked hair only appears to have a sheen when it's pressed, and when it is pressed and has products on it, it kinda shines.

I haven't experimented much with products to try to bring out a shine since I'm not too bothered about having one, but I imagine even if I did use them, the shine, if any, would only be evident in the parts of my hair that are stretched. Like the front part of my hair when I am wearing a pulled back puff.

My hair doesn't shine whatsoever even after a deep conditioner but then again my hair hasn't been categorized yet. I am a 4z so i guess there are no products out there for my hair type.

Just bought wave noveau lotion tonight, i will see if there is any improvement.

It used to have more shine, it's becoming duller and duller for some reason:ohwell:. Maybe some coconut oil can help.

:grin:yeah my hair shines very nicely . iattribute that to me drinking water as well as my taking vitams very religiously.

I voted for it shines but I could use just a little bit more shine in it. I just bought some John Frieda clear shine and can't wait to try it out and see if that would give me that extra bling.

I've been using Fred Fekkai Glossing Cream, and my hair is blinging! A little goes a long way. I believe I picked mine up at Bath and Body Works.

My hair usually shines when straight and "sheens" when curly. Internally, Omega 3,6,9 makes all the difference in the world along with water and lots of green leafy veggies. Externally, Vatika oil and consistent deep conditioning keeps it supple and shining.

ITA. I take Flaxseed oil pills (Omega 3) and I swear its had a huge impact on shine.

Since I've been natural, it shines a lil bit, but it's been shining a lot more now that I've been using hairveda products and oils.
It doesn't shine all the time though, so there's room for improvement.

Hair shines when I:

1. Drink more water
2. Take flaxseed oil
3. Take 1 vitamin E gel tab
4. Use coconut oil as a sealant
5. Avoid direct heat
6. Use Henna once a month

Henna Glosses really brought my hair to a new level of shininess. I have noticed also that my natural hair shine more than the relaxed/dyed portion. Maybe it's the double process.

I am taking Flax oil in my green smoothies. I will look out for a shine boost.

It does when I do an ACV rinse and then spray my hair with a mixture of water, coconut oil, castor oil, and honey.

:yep:

I credit the glycerine/aloe vera mix -- it seems to sink into my hair and make it shine instead of sitting on top like a serum or something.
Vatika/Coconut Oil - Bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
Lacio Lacio - Makes my hair very shiny but I don't use it regularily.

I like a "dry" shine. Meaning if someone touches my hair, their hands don't come away coated with oils and serums, and shine spray.

I have alot of bling too and I use all of the above, too! We must be hair twins, Soleil! :yep:
