I'm Just curious.I know some people have their reasons of why they want to keep their name. There are also people who want to take their husbands last name or have already. I would like to make a poll to see which one is more popular.

I took my husband's last name and got rid of my last name completely. Some people have their maiden name take the place of the middle name I did not.

I did the same. I do not want my last name being my middle name.

Thats something to consider. Your kids having two last names. What happens if they meet someone with two last names and that person wants to keep their last name?

You know his daddy probably don't think thats optional :look:

well that depends on whether I ever get married....(not looking too good right now) and what his last name is....cuz i really like my last name.... (royal) but more than likely I'd take his...unless it would flow really nice hyphenated..

I have a middle name already. I don't need another. I guess I'd take his... iono. I never really thought about it too much. I remember when I was a kid I wanted a lot of initials/names so I used to like put my confirmation name in there too. I'm so over that.

MJG (normal)-> MJCG (with confirmation) -> MJCGM (if he's good) ... looks like a fricken roman date, no thank you.:nono:

I'm taking his name. I will have the same initials and still sound like a Pilgrim.

Ms. Plain Jane and Going Natural.....How will this work?
Going Jane and Ms. Plain Natural? Can MPJ be Ms. Plain Natural if she has a relaxer?

I'm confused...if you hyphenate why would your kids have two last names? Wont they only get their dad's last name? And if you hyphenate does it really take the place of your middle name?

I love my middle name. I want to hyphenate because I am the only child and the whole name dying, etc....
