COWASH CHALLENGE 2012 PART II- April 1-June 30, 2012

Co-washed with dumb blond followed up with moisture maniac. I put some hot 6 oil in it, didn't like the way the oil made my hair feel this time. :( will probably shampoo before next co- wash (can't remember the last time I shampooed).

Cowashed this morning. Not sure if I joined this challenge but I have been cowashing weekly now since March 17th. I am following fgrogan's regi of cowashing and bunning. Her hair is gorgeous:yep:.

I cowashed with GVP version of Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm last night. It was my first time using it. I like the creamy consistency and my hair feels good today. To early to rave and consider it a staple but it's looking good thus far.

I like GVP products!

Co-washed today and yesterday with Trader Joe's Tingle Treat Conditioner...

I'm trying to perfect by co-wash/wet bunning regimen for a trip I'm taking in a few days. My plan is to co-wash in the morning with TJTTC, apply Giovanni Nutrifix and Vaseline while still in the shower, gather my hair into a bun, use Ecostyler gel over the top only, and cover with a scarf. Then, after my hair and scarf have absorbed some of the products, attach my phony pony or phony bun.

My hair is retaining length like a champ and I only plan on using this regimen for the 5 days I'm on my trip because in the past, my hair has NOT done well with frequent co-washing and bunning. But I'm hoping the slight tweaks of my current regimen will help. After my trip, I'm back to weekly co-washing, weekly DCing and keeping my hair mosturized, sealed, twisted and hidden away!

What do ya'll think of my bun regimen? Any suggestions?

This is pretty much my regimen, however I co-wash every other day or 3 days, and use castor/grape seed oil to seal. It's been working for me so far.

Yep, that's what I'm planning! However, yesterday, it took FOR.EVER for the top of my hair to dry and I had a lot of white residue in my hair. So I'm thinking that a.) I need to use less products (I can be VERY heavy handed), b.) find a thinner gel since Ecostyler gives great hold but is super thick or c.) apply less product, still use Ecostyler but wash and wrap my hair in the evening and just touch up in the morning, if necessary.

I'll probably go with C!

I have to say that this experiment of daily co-washing is really doing wonders for my hair already! I noticed very few hairs in my comb last night and my ends are lovely due to, I presume, the heavy sealing they're getting from the Vaseline!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Co-washed last night with Trader Joe's Tingle Treat Conditioner.

All the white residue left over from my daily co-washing/bunning experiment was not the truth so it had to go.

My ends are great and my hair "seems" thicker. But that could just my imagination.

If so, I love delusions!

Cowashed tonight and used Millcreek Biotin (wanted some keratin and collagen protein)... My hair feels great:yep:

I water rinsed and added conditioner as a leave-in...garnier sleek & shine. I really like this conditioner...got it as a travel size because I was going on a trip and the intention was to use it while I was on the trip and not use it again...but I might get a large size of this.

Been co-washing almost daily as usual. Co-washed Tuesday morning with CJ Smoothing Lotion - slip for days; hair seemed to detangle itself

Just about what I do as well every day:
Cowash in the morning with V05 Moisture Milks
Apply JC Conditioner and leave in while I finish showering
Rinse out with cool water
Apply Mixed Chicks leave-in
Seal with EVCO/Castor Oil mix
Gather into a bun of some sort
Smooth edges down with KCCC
Tie down with scarf
Finish morning routine and remove right before I head into work

Works wonders with retaining moisture and keeping the hair shiny looking, I like to take my hair down when I get home.

cowashed last night ending with AOHSR...the usual:ohwell: BUT I added an aloe vera juice rinse at the end:love: I've joined the challenge:grin:
