1) Tell us about your setback, big or small.
I wasnt making progress like I wanted so I stopped caring and kinda forgot about my hair. I started DIY stuff like relaxers and my hair started thinning....I think it was Mizani though cause a stylist told me its too harsh on hair. So I am trying to thicken it back up while its growing out and get back on my schedules.
2) How do you plan to recover? (ie, new regimen, PSing, no heat, baby ends, etc)
Stretching my relaxers longer, using my JBCO on my scalp atleast weekly, braiding it up and hiding under wigs and/or U-Parts, and going back to my old regimen.
Clarify 1x/mn
Wash weekly or biweekly
DC whenever I wash for atleast 3 hours w/o heat or an hour w/ heat
M&S nightly
Cowashing atleast 1x/wk
Protein treatments monthly
3) What is your comeback goal? (does not have to be a length goal...can be thickness, edges, etc)
Thicken my edges and nape area up, and thicken my hair up in general. I am not worried about length because I have some cutting to do....
4) Post a picture of your setback or simply post a starting picture.
I am in braids that have been in for 8 weeks, will take a pic this weekend once I take my hair down. But that will only be of length because I dont plan on relaxer anytime soon, maybe around 5/25= 20 weeks post or 7/6= 26 weeks post.
5) Every 3months, take a picture to document your progress. For those who are hiding their hair, you don't have to post the picture, but check-in with us on how things are going.
Ok I will do....
6) For those coming back from a length setback (or for anyone also interested), keep track of how many inches you've obtained either on a monthly or quarterly basis. On December 2012, tally your total inches, tell us what you've learned about your hair, and celebrate your growth!!!
Ok, I will check my length when I take my braids down.
7) No trims for 2012 (you may search and destroy split ends only)
Awww man IDK about this one here. I am going for health not length
8) Encourage each other and give helpful tips!
Okay
