I just want to point out to everyone that there is new packaging for Colorshowers. The formula is still the same but some people might have older bottles. I buy mine in the BSS here in NY for $9.99 :look: and I asked because they have both sets of packaging. HTH!

They are one of the locations listed on the Beauty of NY website so they are affiliated. They are in the Spanish neighborhood of Sunset Park Brooklyn. I heard they carry it in other locations too but this is where I got it.

Wheezy I work in Harlem near 125th Street. Can you tell me what location you get yours for $9.99. I would like to buy some today to use on fresh relaxer this week. Thank you. I'm excited. My hair color has grown out a lot and I want to wait a little while after relaxer for touch up. Also I heard that it is not good to get dye in the summer so it was actually long over due.
 
Wheezy Ok, I noticed it was a reply to someone else that said they live in Harlem. Perhaps you live in Brooklyn or Harlem and can help. If not it is okay.

i think it's nycutiepie your referring to not me. i bought mines from roundbrushhair.com. You ladies are so lucky and it's like $10 less.:perplexed
 
I had my last relaxer August 1st.
So that would make me 6.5 weeks post.
I really want to use my Color Showers, but it says for optimal color, use it right after a relaxer.
I don't feel like being charged $50 for something I can do at home on top of the $80 (rolls eyes) that I pay for the relaxer.

So should I:

A - Do my own color on my next wash this Saturday (I'll be 7 weeks post)?
B - Let my stylist do my color when I relax around Thanksgiving & bring my Color Shower (but she still may charge me the same $ even though I'm not using their products - they use Sebastian Colourshines)?
C - Get my relaxer in November and just color my own hair the week or two weeks after?

I've got about a half inch of new growth in some areas and I'm slightly texlaxed, thanks to stretching. Help!
 
if you don't have a special event to go to, just wait and do it at home the week after the relaxer, but if you want to get the "wow" effect right after the salon, take your buttle and pay the extra...$$ :ohwell:

Just try to put a little away every week until your appointment. Since you're not a transitioner, I'd suggest waiting til that fresh relaxer so your first experience can be optimal :yep:. Now if you get curious between now and then, I'd understand...you have a whole 16 oz bottle. You could always reapply after the relaxer. Just a thought.

this weekend i tried Adore color showers. I mixed red cherry & cinnamon. Here is the result. i love the color, it looks way better in person!!!

I swear I'm so insanely curious...LOL.
Eisani, you make me so happy when you give me options on how to get my way. LOL.
I'm going to call my stylist and see if she'll do it with my Color Showers.
If not, then I'll just get my relaxer & do it myself the next week.

I think you'll be fine. Our complexions can't be that far off. You look carmel, lol. But black is gorgeous too. I think you can't go wrong either way.

Thanks Wheezy - I actually broke down, bought it and it arrived yesterday. Anyway, I am sitting under the dryer with it and I really don't want the stained scalp. My hair is very fine and takes anything. When I checked it out - it seem very burgundyish to me, I guess it could pass for grape. I just noticed today that they had the swatches on roundbrushhair.com in their blog section. It kinda sorta matches but the swatch seems darker.

I put a little jojoba oil around my edges and on my scalp (where I know I put a part) we'll see if that will help with the staining

I luv it! I am sitting here mad with negro color showers in my hair wishing I had gotten the red or grape:wallbash: Oh well hopefully I will like this black:yep:.

Simply Gorgeous!!!! While your burgundy is looking grapish - my grape is looking burgundy. This is the color I would like to achieve but more in the dark plum family

I'm getting my hair done (retouch) the last week of this month. What color showers should i try next? Honey, Gold or Mahogany???????
