no! dont do that! when i texturize i do it on dry unaltered hair (not just taken from braids, not straightened,). i lightly washed, and let my hair airdry and stay for a day.
my hairdresser wets my hair down before he puts a texturizer on it and I have not had any problems yet. He does this to differientate between the textures but I would leave this one for the professionals.
