Changing Your Name

I am trying to figure out how to change my name legally now that I'm married. I'm in VA. I have filled out all the forms necessary to change my name, but not sure what need besides the forms. I received the signed form that my husband and I filled out at the courthouse and the pastor signed, but is not a marriage certificate. So I'm wondering what exactly do you need to change your name in VA and where do I get what I need to present to have all done? Thank you to anyone who can help me.

The first thing you need to do is go to the social security office. Bring your certified marriage license and you will be able to change your last name. Once you receive your new SS card go change your name on your drivers license. Once I did that I submitted those forms at my job to change my name. Then I called my credit cards, bank, bills, etc anything I could think of.
