Ok I'm back in. I took a hiatus for some reason.

What type of Castor Oil will you be using: I am using and oil blend with JBCO with EOs.

Tell us a bit about your hair: I just cut to 2" last week so starting fresh. My hair is 4b, medium density, low porosity.

How will you be using your Castor Oil: I use it 1x a week for full scalp application, with a scalp massage. I optionally apply my DC. Then I sit under my heat cap for at least 30 minutes. The other 2 days of the week I apply the castor oil only to my thin sections.

I believe the castor oil and scalp massages have really thickened my hair. My hair was so dense when I cut this weekend it scared me.

Checking in: Oiled my edges with JBCO after my texlax. I hadn't been using it all week because it's pretty thick and i didn't want to have a heavy oil in my hair before my texlax. Now that, that done, back to my JBCO which i love.

Added my mixture of JBCO/EVCO to my scalp before I tied my hair up tonight after my wash.

I must say I was very hesistant to use castor oil. However I finally gave in and bought some JBCO last week. At first, I thought it was too thick but I used it on my edges all of last week.

On Saturday, I added some to my DC. I rinsed and then did a rollerset, then wrapped my hair as I normally do. On Sunday morning when I was combing my hair, I was disappointed. My hair felt gummy, coated and sticky. I figured it was the castor oil and decided to do another wash on Monday evening. I did some pincurls on Sunday night, got up Monday morning to comb my hair expecting to be disappointed.

That didn't happen! My hair was bouncy and soooo soft. Now I see what the rave is all about!!!!

So what made your hair gummy Loving?

I've been extremely MIA on my challenge threads, but I've been applying my castor oil every other day to my edges and nape.
