Hello,
I just started back up with MTG this past Friday. I originally jumped on the wagon months ago, but couldn't stand the smell:sad:

Now, I add an ounce of MTG, 2 ozs. Surge, and a fee drops of rosemary oil together in a color applicator bottle that I bought at Sally's Beauty supply. I apply it to my scalp only every other day after I condition wash. The smell is mostly gone once my hair dries.

I just started using MTG late Februar and so far I like it. I am probably the old one, but the smell doesn't bother me at all, so I don't mix it. I apply it to my hair every other day and massage my scalp rifght after. Hopefully I will a success story to tell at the end of the month.

Thanks Ladies! Keep me posted with your progress.

I just received my order today and CW my hair and applied it sparingly to my scalp. I put my hair in a braid down the middle and tied a silk scarf around it. I am excited to see what the progress will be :)

The smell reminds me of sulfur 8, I will try mixing it with Surge Nicki like you suggested to see if that makes a difference.

Hey lavnder,
I'm glad that you too have chosen to start using MTG.

I mixed about 1/3 bottle with 1/2 tiny bottle Kemi Oyl and 1/3 bottle Doo gro Wild Growth Oil.
I apply after spraying my roots with a conditioning moisturizer mix of Suave Strawberries and cream, humectress and surge #14.
I then put Elasta QP Moisture Recovery, Surge Moisture Aide and CANTU Breakcure to the body of the hair.

I'm 11 weeks post relaxer so I need the extra slick to look presentable for work each day.

I use MTG daily strait. No mixing or nothing. I put it on my hair, not my scalp. I also use Surge and a smidge of la india creme after it. This completely kills the smell as well as helping with my hair growth. I was almost shaved bald in the back of my head when I BCD a month and a half ago. I now have 2" of hair there now. I love this combo. This is the first time my sides are growing in as fast as the rest of my hair. I think all my challenges are finally paying off!

Using it straight is good too, but I just love mixing stuff.. oh and i added some lavender EO to the mix and some Fantasia Tea tree oil

Coco, you're not the only one. I apply it straight up too. I think I will try mixing it with Surge though since I apply both anyway.

How long has everyone been using it? Do you need to take a break or can you continue using it as long as you want.

When I first received my package by ups, I was a little reluctant to try after seeing the horses before and after leg pictures.. lol I had to make sure I had the right stuff... it was!

I wash my hair twice a week and apply it undiluted to WET hair. I put WGO on separately for moisture.

I've been using MTG since September (with the exception of a hiatus in December cuz I got lazy). I have noticed between an extra 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month on top of my regular growth.

One thing: KEEP THIS OFF YOUR NECK. I literally put on a turtleneck and wrap a towel around it to keep it from dripping on my neck. When I first started using it, I would notice my neck getting itcy and dark, but I went to the dermatologist and he gave me a prescription for a creme that cleared it up over a couple of days.

I have used it on and off since September, first I used it straight, then I stopped using it for a while and I used it mixed with castor oil, wild growth oil, aloe vera gel and I find that it is a very good product. The problem is that I am not very consistent with my products, but now I am making the effort. I found, the times when I was consistent, after a couple of weeks, the new hair is a lot thicker.

I plan on using it for a few months to really track my progress. I am actually getting use to the smell :) No pain no gain!

Keep me posted everyone~

OHHHHHH so that's what's wrong with my shoulders. :ohwell: :look: I thought I had a rash from the biotin!!!!! Duh!!!!! :p

Hmmm I use it plain. I put in a few drops of peppermint oil but thats it. I spray it in every time I wash my braids (once a week). Mines is in a spray bottle. I dont use any other growth aids except for a leave-in conditioner by Jane Carter. I dont use much of anything while Im in braids..... Wash once a week and spray in MTG whiel still damp. Let it dry and fro the rest of the week I use the leave in conditioner spray to keep my braids moist. Im washing every Saturday.

what happens when you put this actually on the HAIR, is this stuff moisturizing your hair too?

and are u guys REALLy noticing differences, cuz wow, i might use this, i dont use anything on my scalp at present, and i love the smell of sulfur 8.

Ill have to say that personally I havent noticed that much of a difference. My hair still grows at the same rate. My room-mate however is recieving awesome growth. He had a bald spot that has filled in that wouldnt before even with prescriptions. His hair is also growing in fast and thicker. Ill keep it up until the bottle is gone but then its back to Hot six oil....

I use it as a scalp and HAIR oil.

I'm definitely noticing a difference. Apparently there's a spot in my hair that is extremely fragile. After reducing my stress levels, my hair started growing back, but it took forever. I mean like several months. Then late last year, I used some products contrary to the instructions and broke the you know what off of my hair. I started MTG in Dec and the space is filling in. The growth is not consistent in where it grows for example, one hair has grown 2 inches and the hair strand next to it is about a half an inch. The difference is that it's growing at all!

I use it alone about three times a week. I initially apply it to my scalp only immediately after washing. After that I apply it every other day to different parts of my scalp. It has increased my growth rate.

I use it on my hair daily. I got some nice growth from it. Beyondcte, how did hotsix oil help with your growth? If it's as good as mtg, I'll be using it too.

Hi all!

I just got my MTG yesterday, and I used it for the first time today. Man o man, does it smellllllllll! LOL It seriously smells like bacon! At first I thought I could handle it, but phew! lol I think I'm only going to apply it at night before I go to sleep cuz I don't want to be walking around with my hair smelling like bacon.

I think I'll be spraying surge in the morning cuz it smells like grapes for some reason. Either way, it smells better than bacon. =)
