Bsl/mbl Challenge 2019, Let's Go!

@keranikki
I'm really liking it so far. The same experience as you that it cleans well without stripping. I don't notice any residue, my scalp is clean so it's good on that front. So far no complaints from me. I don't feel that I need to condition afterwards either although I still use leave in. (With regular shampoo bars I skip conditioner altogether but I don't feel that this is quite enough) I also seem to be avoiding the waxy build up I usually get with shampoo bars...even while doing vinegar rinses it was inevitable with other bars.

I intended to keep the twists in for a month but my scalp started acting up so I took them out last night. It may be better to wait until allergy season is over to put some more in.

Tonight I used:
- Lush Damaged Hot Oil Treatment
- KCKT
- Curls Creme Brulee Curl Cream

I'll be shampooing this weekend.

I'm surprised thought I'd have a zillion alerts. Missed wash day but its OK. Something I've learned in my hair journey, is to listen to my strands. Nobody knows our heads like we do!

Ladies if it seems I have fallen off the face of the earth, please continue to support one another in my absence, Thank you.

I've been so behind n stressed, but I finally washed n conditioned w Aussie. Then DCing w Sally's expensive stuff as we speak.

Think I need to completely stay away from flatiron except for cuts only! Or bangs if I can't wet it for whatever reason. This forum has taught me to embrace n appreciate my natural hair. N I spent all my young years trying to be who I wasn't. I'm glad that is over now....

So I’m back as promised with my update. I went to Tosin Elizebeth Hair salon in Brandon Fl. I gave her a bit of my hair history and a run down of my current regimen. She explained my hair was dehydrated (I kind of expected that) suggested some additional steps in my regimen (such as using a curl refresher daily). She gave product suggestions without being pushy about purchasing from her.
I explained I was nervous as it had been years since someone other than me handled my hair. She kept me facing the mirror pretty much the entire cut (or with a mirror in hand). Explained everything she was doing as well as what products and tools she used.
She did a really good job keeping my shape (my hair is almost a blunt cut). I wanted to keep my bangs long because I rarely wear a wash n go, so she didn’t shape them like the rest of my hair and we pinned them up with Bobby pins. (So please ignore in the photo, it looks wonky due to my not wanting her to cut a lot)
She took her time and even though we went over my appointment time (45 minutes!) she didn’t rush me out the door or charge for the extra time. She was more Deva inspired than actual Deva. I say that because she didn’t solely use Deva care products (which I was fine with).

I'm going to ask nicely for the last time. Can someone take over as Admin??

Couple reasons, one being I accept Im genetically predetermined at CBL. Ion have much to give. Two, returning to work so I will have even less time. Three, Id like to spend my efforts in a forum that is more realistic for me, no offense to anyone.

Thank you, take care, happy growing!

I’ll do it!!

I've been wearing my hair in a banana clip high puff. I haven't done a protein treatment in a good few months and my hair is suffering from a little breakage (I notice when removing shed hairs). I plan to give it some protein soon when I have some time for wet, flat hair.

Last night I applied Nature's Ego fenugreek serum to my scalp and massaged my head. To try and avoid more ssk and tangles, I dampened sections of my hair with a spray bottle of water and removed shed hairs. I reapplied gel to my ends, applied whipped shea butter over the top and smoothed back up into my clip.

This install will have been in for two weeks this coming Saturday.

I will keep this in for another week or so, depending on time. I dont like my knots and how much hair she used. Its real thin ( 3 packs) and you can see the knots when the hair is up. Im not pleased with her doing my hair this time.
