See, that's why you don't take ppl's pics off of their avi/signature. I use google to search for "model"-esque pictures of hair or anything else (and I know, even THAT's faulty sometimes), but it's pretty easy to tell the difference, IMO. I'm sorry OP. That sucks and I hope the situation gets resolved very soon.

I had professional photos taken and used one of them on my profile pic on NP. Another girl also started using it as her profile photo. I sent her a PM and she apologized profusely; she said she thought it was a model.

Your photo is so pretty, so hoping that the poster thinks it is a model, like longhairdreamzz and other said.

That's what i though too. Sometimes when i'm looking for hair styles and other stuff in google images, sometimes ... sometimes i've seen somo LHCF members, so maybe she just took the photo because of that, so in the best of the cases she just admire your hair.

Because she even have in her profile a link to HER fotki, not yours, so maybe ...

Im in agreement with the other two posters about the hair idol aspect.

So many here have pictures that aren't them in the signatures and avi's. If this person is saying the picture IS her, then I would be pissed, but if she isn't...she seems to be doing what is normal for a lot of people on hairboards such as BHM ***and*** LHCF.

Exactly what the previous poster said, I'm aware that there are people out there who take pics and use them to represent themselves or their product but something tells me that wasn't the case with this one I dont think there was any ill will intended.

Wow...that is just disgusting...and a little scary! This is why I don't put my face in pictures...some people are so unscrupulous! I mean, you do have GORGEOUS hair (and you're very pretty) so I can see why someone would want to be you, but that's still sick. Sorry girlie **HUGS**

Ok, so, I keep trying to post but it keeps failing me. Lets see if this 3rd time is a charm.

Now, if this is not the case and you're dealing with someone that is using your pix to try to pass them off as you to deceive the members of bhm then you're dealing with someone with incredibly low self-esteem and I'd advise you to handle that person with care.

If it is someone with malicious intent and using your image to sell something, I say ruin them.

Again, I pray it is an admirerer.

I had someone steal my pix on myspace a few years ago & when confronted, she wz very apologetic. I felt kind of bad for her. I pray for a positive outcome.

My profile pic is of the now deceased dancer, Katherine Dunham. I use only deceased or incredibly well known folks for my profile pix, for now.
