Baggie technique

Hey Den,
I'm also very curious, what products were you moisturizing with? And was your hair natural or relaxed? Thanks

BronzeBrown, my hair is natural and was healthy (I didn't use any chemical or heat) I kept my hair well moisturised, washed and deep conditioned prior to using my baggie method. I applied one of the ORS products which worked fine with my hair texture, the culprit was the overuse of the plastic cap, the side effects were limp and damp hair, in the highlight of these two effects, I have concluded that breakage occured as a result. In the aftermath of this experience, the usage of protein helped replace lost elasticity and strength in my hair.

edited to add: MY HAIR IS OKAY NOW, THIS WAS AGES AGO, ITS NOT A CONCERN ANYMORE

That's OK BronzeBrown

this method does work quite well on long-term basis for a lot people, personally my hair is fine when I apply the baggie 2-3 times a week, I moisturise and leave it on, usually overnight

honeylemondrop, i'm glad this is working for your daughter and that her hair is thriving. how old is she? i used to do the pretty flower design too before i discovered the drawstring ponytail. i still wear it like that on the weekend sometimes. <img src="http://st1m.longhaircareforum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif" alt="" />

Bumping for Adrienne!!!!

daviine, i use everything but the drawstring ponytail. the cutoff stocking forms the middle of the flower. two scrunchies form the petals. it's very basic but cute, especially for someone who prefers a conservative look. i'll do it tonight and take a pic if i remember...
