OK, So I have done my first wash and my question is, how much oil is too much oil for pre-pooing. I drenched my hair in oil and as it rinsed off, the oil got all over my body and I'm still feeling a bit greasy on my backside, lol.
Also, I lost a lot of hair this first time around. I don't know if its because I'm trying to stretch which leads me to lose a few extra hairs. But is it normal?
On the plus side, the stuff doesn't smell as bad as I thought it would. Smells like herbs and natural stuff. Nothing funky. But then again I added Hibiscus Petal Powder which may have given it a nice scent.

I don't post much, but I just have to say I really like ayervedic. I have been doing yoga for a few years and it really just recenly clicked I should be using it for health and hair car as well. I've been using powders and oils for about 6 months. I oil with vatika for at least an hour, then I either use a Shikaiki (sp)Amla Shampoo , or the powders. I don't use boilng water, just hot out of the tap, and let it cool, then use Neutragena everyday deep conditionerand I've had good results. My hair is very very dry, and I found that for about a week after I use henna, my ends are extremely dry. I do have a question if anyone would like to answer
what if anything are you using as moisturizer? I do use coconut oil, but I am not sure if that is enough.
Very helpful!

so best just buy the powder and infuse it or cook some stovetop. Mustard powder is easy to find and you can do it in almost any oil. Of course, it's edible!
