**August Hits & Misses**

Miss- Brendita's Body Works Speedy Recovery Mango-- didn't like the texture, felt weird. Hair was so-so...I will try some of her other conditioners though.

Hit: Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner

Miss: Wen 613

Hit: Wen 613: I am on auto delivery for this. My hair loves Wen.
Paul Mitchell The Conditioner: I finally found a leave in.
Silk Elements Mega Moisturizing Treatment: It gives maximum moisture for my flat iron hair, when used as an overnight DC.

Miss: Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner: I bought this based on LHCF recs. I bought it during the liter sale at Beauty Brands. I have only used it once. It gave me no slip. I wll give it one more try, then to the haircare graveyard.

MISS: One n Only Argan Oil Restorative Mask or whatever the name is. The perfume smell lingered for so long and it made me sick to my stomach,...

It intensified when I dried my hair. :-( but it made my hair feel so good!!!

That mess had my hair stinking for over a week. Even after two washes, I still smell remnants of that nasty, perfumey, mess.

But my hair was soft. Wasn't better than Silk Dreams though.

HIT

Carol's Daughter Khoret Amen Smoothie - I won't lie, this stuff stanks!! But my hair felt fantastic after rinsing and dried even better. Luckily, that Hairveda pH rinse covered the scent. Definite repurchase!!

Hit- Brendita's Body Works Daily Botanical Boost

Great refresher! Weird because it contains all of the ingredients I thought my hair hated...aloe vera juice, glycerin...etc.

Mega Hit: Darcy's Pumpkin Seed Conditioner as a leave in. This beats out every other leave in I've tried in terms of long lasting moisture. It's my new HG leave in/moisturizer for wet bunning.

Hits
-Hair One Olive Oil for Dry Hair
-Eden Bodyworks Jojoba Monoi DC
-Giovanni Direct Leave-In

Hit- Isoplus Pressing Oil :lick:

have you tried Shea What from the Silk Dreams line?

If you have please share the details !!!!

My order should be here soon and I can't wait to use it!

@PinkPebbles

Another Nikos-Cousin sent me a sample a while back.

I thought it was very nice.:yep: In fact I just received an order for 2 more last week.

I thought it was very nice. Now that I have a Full-Sized Jar, we'll have to compare notes.

If she has an Anniversary Sale, I want to try the Shea What Deux.

@IDareT'sHair thanks! Yes, we can compare notes. I ordered the Shea What b/c I wanted a conditioner that will strengthen and moisturize.

I'm waiting for the Anniversary Sale too :giggle:....I'm going to order the Vanilla Silk Cream Moisture Treatment and the Mocha Silk Infusion

Miss: Wondercurl Butter than Love ,coated my hair and made it crunchy.

Inbetweener: Hair trigga ,i can't bear the smell but haven't used it enough to see results ,will be back for a review.

I have only posted in this section once in the last couple of years because I do not buy much anymore. I posted a few months ago on Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose. It was something I thought about buying on and off for years and, when I finally did, it definitely lived up to the hype.

I have three recent hits: Back to Basics Coconut and Mango conditioner -- lovely stuff on its own and if you add any kind of oil to it, it produces the silkiest hair; and Back to Basics Sunflower leave-in, which is light-years better than than leave-ins I have paid plenty for like Ojon Revitalizing Mist.

The other hit is argan oil. It has taken me years to break down and pay the cheapest price for a 16 ounce bottle (which is $29.90 at Camden-Grey) and it lives up to every bit of hype.

I washed my hair yesterday with Hair One olive oil cleanser, deep conditioned (which I no longer do every week) with splashes of several different conditioners, my oil mix (olive, castor, shea, almond, grapeseed) and a half teaspoon of marshmallow root and irish moss and egg powder mix.

I lightly sprayed on Back to Basics Sunflower leave-in, layered over that with avocado oil and sealed with argan oil. On Friday, I did the opposite -- I applied the argan oil first and then sealed with the avocado oil and, although it controlled the frizz beautifully during a week where Monday through Thursday, the frizz controlled me rather than the other way around, my hair did not retain moisture :nono:.....

My hair always dries out as the day wears on (no matter how moisturized it is in the morning before I bun). I just took it down and could not believe the moisture and softness. In addition, I can't say enough about its ability to control frizz. I wish I hadn't taken so long to buy the stuff. It is a keeper!

I just bought 2lb of ORS Hair Mayonnaise - everytime I repurchase this the size of the tub increases. That's true love right there.

Miss

Relying on co-washing. My hair needs shampoo...changing up the reggie

I second that. My scalp was funkay. I forgot why I stopped cowashing. That's where a hair journal would have came in handy.

Hits:

ACV rinse

Softee Aloe Vera Activator Gel Extra Dry Hair

Hit: SM Curl and Style Milk...its an awesome leave in and refreshed for second day hair!

Miss: ORS Repair sumthin nourishing conditioner...the banana one. Too much protein for me. Scent was off. I was sad.

Sent from my N860 using LHCF

HIT

African Pride Olive Miracle Leave-In Conditioner~ This is what I call a sure fire hit! It does what a leave-in is supposed to do and is very inexpensive!

Miss: Dax Coconut Oil and Castor Oil Grease. As a sealeant, it's great: thick, heavy, lubricating. But the smell has my sinuses on FIRE!

No stank you. Into the trash it goes...

Hits:

Organix Cherry Blossom conditioner. It was on clearance and I thought it was the shampoo. I used it and it made my hair feel soft yet 'full'.

Komaza Shea lotion, and oil
Aritha Powder
tumeric
Carrot juice
SM spritz
Claudie's hairline balm

How are you using the turmeric? TIA

HIT: Heating my DC in the microwave for 30 seconds!!! It felt so good going on and after I covered my hair with 2 processing caps and a hat, I realized this may eliminate my need to sit under the dryer! I am sprung!

HIT: Aphogee Green Tea and Keratin Reconstructor! This stuff is the truth! My hair is super-fine and this gives it the protein boost it needs to be stronger and it needs all the help it can get! So glad I decided to give it a try!
