Yay for pjism! :eyebrows2 I am going to be the Aveda Black Malva pusha. With my henna, indigo and Aveda Black Malva conditioner, I will never have to use chemical dyes in my hair, EVER, muahahahahahaha..... I hope you and Naturellle like it. This is the first product I have used in a while that really knocked my socks off. Very impressive indeed!! :yep:

See you wrong Priestess! You know you have steered me to a Miss yet! I will have to add this to my 'wish list' until i use up some of my others cons. Does leave your hair noticeably darker? How many uses would you say it takes to see results??

Although I did buy these yesterday, I am going to be wearing them DEEP into April and the coming months.

These are a HIT:

Good Hair Days Magic Grip Hair Pins

409000.jpg

HoneyDew I couldn't get these pins to 'act right' for nothing! They ended up all stretched out of shape and wouldn't hold my hair. Am I doing something wrong?

I'll begin:

HITS
Shikkakai:D this stuff leaves my hair so soft and the curls are jus poppin. Definitely a staple. I use the hesh shikkakai and its 2.29 at teh indian grocery!!

Honey in conditioners: Moisture heaven!! Curls poppin!

MISSES

Curls Products. I've tried the spiral curl cream, milkshake and souffle. They did nothing and dried white in parts and my hair felt kinda hard. And they curdle if u put them on top of each other or put gel over them. I been trying with these for months and no success. One thing i did notice is the very small 3c section , its worked well on, so i think these products are not designed for 4a like textures, more like 3c and down, they smell good. I jus gotta find a way to use them up now.

I have wanted to try the Shikkaki? Did you order this on the net?

Karamell11...............Thanks. I will check my local Indian store first. :)

Shunta and Catina.....I am glad to see I sm not the only one having the problem with the Good Day Hair Pins stretching out in the 'V' shape. My hair would end up falling out of any updo I attempted.

These are kinda cheapie so I can see them getting stretched out. I only used one to test with, though. Also, I don;t have as much hair as you do. The package does say that they can be used with long hair, butI don't know about that. Maybe 5 or 6 of them for long hair, but they are just not strong enough, I think.

I kinda twisted my hair up and then stuck one of these in to hold it up in the back.

Wow it's only April 1  I'm in braids since last week so I haven't really used any products but here's a few I tried a few weeks ago...

HIT:

Posner Exotic Hair Butter

MISS:

Aveda Brilliant Pomade

HoneyDew...Thanks. I tried to use about 3 to make it all work. My hair laughed  at me. Maybe more would do it. I really wanted these to work for me.

Revisited Hits.............Nexuss Keraphix. I hadn't used this in awhile since I have been using some of my other mild protein products. I used it today and my hair felt like pure silk! I will not let my Keraphix sit on the back burner like that again.:)

Dudley Hair Mask.....I am almost out of this but I will get more soon. Agian, my hair felt just wonderful.

Oh my gosh, guuuurrrlll, this stuff is da bomb!! The tube says that chemically treated hair will take the color more intensely, this stuff is no joke. I washed my hair in the shower, turned off the water and toweled dried a bit. I added some of the conditioner to my hair and the first thing I noticed was my hands were getting stained! I got nervous that my hair was going to go all Elvira black, so I only left the conditioner on a few minutes and then I rinsed and followed up with an instant conditioner. My old ends, tend to get red and henna only heightens the effect. This conditioner gave my hair a nice overall even dark tone, diminishing the red undertones. If one wanted to go really dark, you could leave it on longer. I noticed results after one use and I didn't even leave it on long.

Also, about those Good Day Hair pins, I can only use those on small sections on hair, like when I create 2 bantus. There is no way on earth that they would hold a solitary bun for me. I use my Tenderheaded hair pins for that. :)

Also another Hit:
Aveda Universal Styling cream- Now don't make me fall in love with this expensive line, y'all. :look: They make some amazing products, and this cream is no exception.

I henna'd for the first time.

I'm blah about it. I didn't get the wow. My hair was dry and breaking. I left it on for 20-30 min with no heat, didn't let the color release before and I still got some color. I think I may like it though. I dunno.... Maybe I'll put a black rinse over it next week. :ohwell:

I'm still loving Vatika Oil though.

so i jus won an auction on ebay for black malva condtioner (2) and a shampoo(1 litre) :look: Couldn't resist:ohwell:, but i got an amazing price on it! SO is it moisturizing besides enriching the dark colour?

Yes, I would categorize it as a moisturizing conditioner. :)

Tee, you should stay out of these threads. You have products you haven't even used yet. I can't wait until I'm back in Memphis. note to self: look up Tee.
Hit: CON purple label conditioner. Detangles like a charm. Thanks Marie170.

I was to tickled at the Elvira comment! This stuff really does sound like a keeper. (with no extra chemicals!) As soon as I finish up one of the conditioners I have I will add this to my list. Thanks for the review.

I must try the tenderheaded pins.
Glad the Aved USC worked out for you too.:)

I just can't resist it Dee! I try so hard. But most of the time I just get tips on some of the stuff I already have and haven't used yet.:perplexed (Like the CON purple label!) Tsmith told me about this product. I have it, I just haven't gotten around to using it. (I am trying to use up this big GIANT jar of Dudley Hair Mask that is the bomb!)
