WTH.. am I in the right place .. LONG HAIR Care Forum??! I seriously thought this was a joke. I don't even believe in folks BC'ing.. counterproductive if you ask me. That being said.. I can't believe somebody would shave their head multiple times.. girl you must be cute... I can only imagine what I would look like with no hair and this big ol round head.

Since when did you have to have long hair before wanting to learn how to take care of it?
Girl, I been on LONG HAIR care forum since I was a broke college student with nothing more than a blow dryer, a brush, a rat-toothed comb, and a jar of Blue Magic.
I joined to get a new perspective on general haircare practices not necessarily for long hair.
and when I take it down again this summer, I'll still be on LHCF busying myself what Bey was wearing yesterday and how big RihRih forhead is.

I'm pretty confident that I'll reach it by June and then some actually. I was/am soooooo bored with my hair right now AND that night I was just feelin' it sooo bad. I just wanted a change. I clipped all the relaxer out back in '99 and '06 (well, my DH did it) and I had less than an inch of hair on my head so I am very familiar with the concept...

My hair has never been this long when I've done it though...

I've stepped away from the razor...for now.

I decided not to do it so I washed my hair today (siggy) and tried to compare it to my length back at the end of October (avatar).

I'm not too impressed by the growth but it looks thicker and healthier actually so I'll take that but...

I think I'm going to do something drastic if I am not APL by June. Honestly still craving today for something fresh, hip, youthful, fun, etc. The truth is, I oveI am rhauled my wardrobe and I just feel like a makeover physically too. I will be getting back into shape as well and a shaved head SERIOUSLY would help me focus on getting my body back after these two knuckleheads I had.

Oh well...ya'll are too sweet and funny...

Buy some fierce shoes.... A matching bag perhaps.....That hair is GAWJUS !!!! If you really feel strongly about this is the future you can trim 1/2" per month and you will probably be relaxer free by NEXT January....Shoooo I have been admiring that beautiful hair for quite some time...I can't BUY that thickness .

I totally understand your feeling. I go through these phases too where I feel like I want to clean house totally and get into that Rocky mentality (hear the theme song cuing up now ). Do whatever I need to do to get into focus for my project,

But, cutting all that pretty hair off is drastic. I too had considered late last year cutting it all off and got the approval from my DH but I decided to back off the ledge and I'm glad I did. What I'm gonna do instead is get a sew-in so that I can take the focus off my hair.

If your not into that maybe try some braids or some other protective style so that you can take the focus off your hair that way.So that you can focus on the body and not have to fuss with the hair and then imagine when the body starts looking good you can reveal the hair and you'll be BSL or longer.
