A Christian CAN be yoked up to a Muslim but they will be unequally yoked. "Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers". It doesn't say "Be ye not unequally yoked with unsaved(non Converted Christian) people". He means folks that don't worship Christ and keep His commandments as you do. As one poster stated "Two people, Christians can be unequally yoked also. The scripture does not limit unbelievers to unsaved (people of other or no) religious beliefs. That includes churchgoing friends who still fornicate, commit adultery, etc.
When a farmer yokes two oxen together they must be of equal strength otherwise the stronger will break the neck and kill the other while they work. While our spirit man is renewed and strengthen day by day our flesh is still weak, that's why flesh and blood shall never enter into the kingdom. Converted Christians would represent the weaker ox and the unsaved would represent the stronger concerning fleshy matters. In order to sustain the relationship we would have to turn our hearts away from God through compromise.
God clearly forbids fellowship (not associations) and marriage outside of the faith. In the O.T. we see where God said for Israel and for Solomon not to go after strange women (women of other religious beliefs) because they would break his neck. 1Kings 11:1-12
