9+ MONTHS POST RELAXER: FLAT IRONED TODAY WITH PICTURES!

Wow ... your hair looks awesome! So shiny and healthy, plus you got it really straight. That Sedu does not play. I have one too; I love it better than most of the other flat irons that I've tried.

I wish my hair liked the flat iron..:ohwell:.

I have alot of fine textured hair and when I was relaxed and tried to flat iron my hair..it just laid there looking at me.

Girl ... I feel ya on this one. I have a lot of fine strands AND it's not very dense either. As such, my flat ironed hair often laid there looking at me too. :ohwell:

Your hair is beautiful!!! I love the hint of color as well :yep:

Thanks! That color originally started as this (which was also my starting point for taking better care of my hair):

Did a box color set myself at home and then put a weave in and left it in without moisturizing or ANYTHING underneath. (It was my first and last time ever getting a weave). Got this haircut in April of 2007.

NEVER AGAIN. :nono:

Your hair looks very healthy...you've done a great job with it. I feel you should get "Feature of the month" soon and very soon.
Also thanks for mentioning the flatiron. As soon as I saw your hair I was wondering which one you used.

Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. :D

Aww thank you!! That's very kind. :yep:

Gorgeous job!! I am gonna try to blow out my hair and flat iron again. I like to rollerset and flat iron but get more swing with the blow out.

Thanks ladies! I'm one of those transitioners who just has to use heat to maintain my hair, its waaaay too cold for a wash-n-go or anything like that. The Sedu has literally saved me! I dropped it a few months back and wanted to cry because I thought I broke it

I'm the exact way. I'm crucial with hiding my ends at night and using serum before any flat ironing. Love your hair and the way it came and everything else. I'm not too far behind you in transitioning. keep up the good work!

Beautiful! Can you please, please, please post a pic of what it looks like when the pin curls are out??

Also what was your blow drying technique? Comb attachment? Paddle brush?
Thanks!

Very pretty results and I like the pin curl technique thats a nice tip oh and thanks for confirming for me that I need to keep the sedu on my xmas list!!!

Love the results!! Which Sedu did you use - the original or revolution? I had the original one - but being natural it didnt give me silky straight results like you. And please post your steps!!!

I used the original one. I've had my Sedu for well over 2 years now.

I haven't gone out yet for the day but when I do I will take pictures. I'll also post a complete step by step regimen tonight in a new thread!

Thanks again for all of the support ladies!!

Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!

I'm fairly new to all of this & currently 11 weeks post..I had been planning (half heartedly) to BC soon to go natural, but this gives me hope that I can maintain at least a few more mos before taking the plunge!

So very nice! It looks so glossy and straight. Did you bring the flat iron close to your roots? Mine gets so hot and I'm too scared to get it close. I just bought a FHI dryer (to replace my Conair) so hopefully it gets my roots straighter. (I'm going from 4 relaxers to 3 per year and I want to straighten weeks 14 - 17 to help with the stretch). :yep:

Again, you did a great job. You should do a YT tut or something. :yep:

Yup, I bring it close to my roots, that's what helps to get them so straight! :yep: The Sedu doesn't burn, which is what I like about it too.

I just did a text tutorial for now, next time I'll do one with pictures!

Looks like the shea butter did the trick. Almost, you persuade me to flat-iron. I love your long new growth and how healthy your hair looks.

Well, the shea butter made it easier to style, but I can achieve the same look in terms of how straight my hair turned out, without using shea butter. These pix are from when I just used leave-in, back a few months ago.
