Nice job. I neve heard of anyone using Shea Butter to flat iron. That sounds interesting. I cold barely get it to work on wet styles.

I wish my hair liked the flat iron..:ohwell:.

I have alot of fine textured hair and when I was relaxed and tried to flat iron my hair..it just laid there looking at me.

I am about 20 months post and tried flat ironing a while back..same results.

LOL you're making me blush! :Blush2:

You can do it! My last relaxer was on March 3rd, 2008. I thought it would be very difficult for me, especially since I would be transitioning during the hotter months, and at first it WAS difficult. I had to get used to handling a whole new set of hair while still caring for the old chemically treated hair that I didn't even want. But as the months went by it got easier and believe me when I say that at 9 months post, I am extremely pleased with my results and surprised that I even made it this far. Now, I can't wait for my relaxed ends to grow out.

Just find out what works for you, try out different things and see what happens! If you decide to go natural, that's awesome. If you choose to relax, that's fine too! It's all about YOU and your hair.

I'm just one of those folks who believe that if you treat your hair properly, then using heat isn't and doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Your hair looks so nice. Sedu eh? Hmm :)
Thanks for reminding me that I have 2 bottles of Emergencee somewhere.
Any reasons why you skipped the SMB?

Yes! Sedu, if you don't have one, get one!!

Emergencee is great too, but I don't cover it with a plastic cap, I use it the same way I would Aphogee Protein, just a hairnet.

I skipped the SMB because I wanted to lay off the cones, and plus its cold now so I don't really need to use it at this time of year. I opted for the shea butter instead and I'm really glad that I did.

Your hair is gorgeous! I wish I could get my hair to do that, I cant even get close to the roots right about now-I'm almost 12 weeks post!
