~~6 months APL challenge - Jan - Jun 07~~

I'm so close to APL. This challenge should be easy, hopefully by June more than just my bottom layer will be there though.

I need to work on:
covering my hair nightly
protective styling
taking my multivitamin

I'm in. Need some sort of a challenge to keep me motivated.
Starting this month this is my regimen:

-Prepoo w/ African Royal Hot Six Oil(Heated)the night before washing
-Wash every three- five days w/ Elucence MB and Glovers( mixed with jojoba oil) for my sebhorrea. Followed with Aura Cherry Almond Bark Conditoner or Elasta QP intense
-Deep Condition 1X weekly IC deep conditoning Creme or Aubrey GPB
-Protein Treatment every six weeks with Aphogee
-Conditoner Wash (at least 1X weekly) w/ suave humectant
-Baggie a few times a week with Profectiv Healthy Ends and BBD Stetch (Heated)
-Grease scalp with Glovers medicated as needed for sebhorrea
Moisturize/Grease when needed with Green Dax, CD Healthy Hair Butter, ORS Olive Oil Lotion

I have alot of products in rotation because I've been buying them and need to use them. At the end of the challenge if I see that they've done well. I will keep them in the line up!

Hi everyone!

I'm in! This will be my very first challenge and I'm looking forward to having APL hair for the summer!

I will:

- Use Surge daily on my scalp, concentrating on my nape and hairline.
- Relax every 8 -10 weeks. Longer once I dedicate myself to trying to stretch.;)
- Trim every other touch-up. I was trimming every touch-up every 6 weeks!
- Use very little to no direct heat. I have always used rollersets to straighten my hair, but I used to go over it with a flatiron afterwards.
- Drink more water and exercise. This will be the most difficult part of my challenge.

Good luck everyone! I know we can do it!:)

I'm usually very hesistant to join challenges, but I'm gonna kick it up a notch and join this one if it's not too late!!

I had an INSANE setback in the summer after reaching shoulder length, and I've only really been back on track since October.:ohwell: I've also just started really adjusting my regimen for the rigors of winter weather/indoor heating, (I know, what took me so long?!!:hammer:) so I am absolutely and completely ready for this challenge. I am currently 13 weeks post texlax and plan to touchup again in February.:yep:

Regimen:

Wash every 5 days,
Henna every other wash, for non-henna washes prepoo overnight w/ cheapie condioner/honey/vatika mix
Rollerset and use hooded dryer on lowest setting.
Deep Condition every wash with either moisutirizing or protein conditioners (or a combo of both!)
ONLY use Bone comb or Jilbere shower comb and ONLY on wash days.
Pincurl hair at night and sleep with satin scarf and satin pillow case.
Use Good Hair Day Pins for protective styling
Continue with regular workout/vitamin regimen (pilates 3X a week, NYC ballet workout 2X week, vitamins are in sig)
Only flat iron the roots 1X per month and always w/ a heat protectant
Dust 1X per month and S&D as needed

I also plan to get a real fotki up and running again in a month or so, but until then I will be on the GROW!:driver:

I wanna get in on this challenge also if it isn't too late. June 07 was already my APL goal so I might as well get in on this.

Since I'm in the 'Hide your hair until April Fools challenge' I'm going to get myself an instant weave to wear for the next three months. :yep:

Happy growing ladies!! ;)

Can I join, I had a 2in cut in Dec and at this point, hoping to get to APL at least by June. Well plan is by April or so, but June is more realistic. I think I need 3-4inches

I'm big on my vitamins
Viviscal, liquid buried treasure (has everything!),15,000mcg Biotin
MTG at least 3-4x a week, Lenzi and Capzasin on edges
Water
Black castor oil on ends everyday
Keep hair moisturized
Huge water intake
Deep condition 1x a week or as needed
limit hair breakage!! (my downfall)

I would also like to join this challenge. I have 3 more inches to go until I reach full armpit. I am confident that I can reach my goal if I can stay away from the trims!

I'm not sure if I've posted already but I'm in. I need about 3-4 inches and I'll have APL. My hair overall is healthy and I'm satisfied with the growth. Except for the severe shedding & breaking which I'm sure is due to certain products. I'm confident it will thicken/regrow soon.

My regime includes:
Co-wash twice a month, poo once a month with poo cut with water.
Moisturize and sealer with Carol's Daughter HHB and Lisa's Elixir 2-3x's week
Vitamin E Oil on the scalp (Black Castor oil on scalp starting in March)
Corn rows (protective style) and wearing wigs
Roller set after washing
Increase water, fruits, vegetables, vitamins
Basically, leaving my hair alone

Caramelty, Naijaqueen & angeleyes - welcome. I've added your names to the list.

alona - Your name is up there already right after mine. :D

Well i suppose 1 more challenge wouldn't hurt, right? I'm in. Don't have a regime in my head so i'll say...................I'm just gonna make it do what it do.:lachen:
Oh yes i do:
No heat
Protective styles
Deep condition w/every shampoo
no trimming
Keep ends hidden away til......further notice.
