Ahh okay. Smooth and silky sounds promising.I can't give a full review because my hair is in mini twists and was when I applied it. I moisturized, sealed, and baggied over night and the next morning my hair felt smooth and silky.
I'm keeping my hair in these twists for the month, but if you're willing to wait until next month, I can try both the Sukesh and the Hair Goddess on loose hair and give you a proper review.
Yucca root + hibiscus, fenugreek, horsetail, and honey
Nice! Thank you for the review!!Kaolin clay + goat's milk powder, sukesh ayurveda, SAA, panthenol, plant keratin, hydrolyzed oats, cetrimonium chloride, calendula oil, inositol, and fragrance.
@BeautifulRoots I tagged you because you asked about sukesh ayurveda and I finally got around to trying it again.
I haven't washed it out yet, but as I was applying it my hair felt sooo soft. I noticed that there was a bit of "stuff" at the bottom of my mixing jar. It felt soft and washed off of my hands easily. I just hoped that some of it made it to my hair instead of settling on the bottom.
My mom tried it, I think she used it as is and she said that her hair felt soft. I'll update either today after I wash it out or tomorrow after my hair has had time to adjust to having been washed with it.
Nice! Thank you for the review!!
Quick question, if I were to use shikakai oil as a leave in scalp oil between washes, would this have any adverse effect because of the cleansing properties in shikakai? I would be DIYing the oil.
Tried looking through old threads, but could not find an answer to this
I wanted something that I could use to both oil my scalp as well as freshen it up a little in order to stretch out a blow dry/flat iron an extra week before washing. I read that some people used shikakai oil for prepooing before cowashing and it helped their hair feel cleaner because of shikakai's cleansing properties. But haven't heard of people using it on the scalp between washes unless it were mixed into an oil blend with amla, brahmi, etc.I haven't tried shikakai oil or read anything about it. Sorry.
Is there a reason why you'd use that oil vs another kind? Are you using shikakai oil as a base for infusion, or some other type of carrier oil as a base and then adding shikakai and other herbs?
Goddess hair made my 4c curls POP!!!!! I mean they clumped and turned into springs. I think it's great, but I will make a gloss out of it next time because I don't need my hair to shrink as much as it did. if a person has loose curls, or lost some curls due to heat damage, I think this will be a God send. I like my hair to be more at ease, I don't need popping curls right nowI've been eyeing this product. This and the goddess hair. How do you like it? I'll just be in here because I just started my Ayurvedic journey about 8 weeks ago and the outcome so far is astounding. I'm just doing very basic things: henna, Curly Proverbs' Alma mixture, Henna Sooqs's mixtures, tea spritzes and I made a growth oil with HS Moroccan tea, Etc. Trimmed my ends twice in 8 weeks, my hair looks like it's doubled in density!! I have new hairs sprouting all around my hairline. I'm in love. I don't feel too lazy to do the treatments any more, it's really rather easy. I'm mixing glosses with coconut cream or plain yogurt. Wow! My 4c high porosity hair is hitting a happy stride! I am doing monthly hennas to cover gray and to give my hair thickness. I do the front of my head one month, then a whole head the following month. This working out way better than I ever imagined.
