2019 Vitamin Challenge

Hello ladies! I would love to join this challenge, I hope it's not too late to do so!

1.) Your current length and the length you hope the vitamins will help you achieve (or other goal that you wish to achieve)

Neck length. I recently got a cut when my hair began coming out in clumps due to extremely low iron levels.

2.) Any of the vitamins or supplements you're using for the health of your hair (or body in general)

Mega Foods Blood Builder (iron)
Mineral-rich (for energy)
Kala Health MSM powder
Vitamin C
Solgar Vitamin D3
(low levels)
NeoCell Super Collagen
Sport's Research Evening Primrose
Swanson's Bamboo extract

I'm hoping this is not too much at one time. I have been taking one portion in the morning and some in the evening. I've been dealing with anemia for most of my life and I've never had so much energy. I was not aware it could affect your hair as well!

3.) How long you intend to take the vitamins for

The whole year

I’ve finally nailed down my regimen and also have been slowly working my way up.

I’ve been taking a HSN vitamin that contains 2,500 mcg biotin and iron (I’m iron anemic) and 1,000 mg of MSM for about a month now. Last week I added an extra 5,000 mcg of biotin and today I added BioSil. I’m going to stick with this for 6 months. I still haven’t gotten my relaxer but will soon so I can photograph and have a starting point picture.

Even with HSN and MSM only I’ve noticed a difference in my nails. My nails always grew but split because they were thin. In this past month they’ve hardened up. I can’t evauluate my hair although I know I haven’t experienced super growth or anything. That will take more time to see and I also need a starting point picture because I am a slow grower.

Think I’m going to have to remove the extra biotin. I’ve gotten two pimples in the past two days. Last time I tried high dose biotin for a month it made me break out and I’m still dealing with the repurcussions. Since clearer skin is also one of my goals, I’m going to drop that and see if I can keep these at bay. I get a decent dose in the HSN vitamin anyway.

Update:

I am taking a break from biotin because I ran out, and I havent been in a rush to purchase more. Reason being: I want to try the liquid version.

Still keeping up with silica gel, moringa powder, fish oil.

Also, I forgot to mention in my original post that im taking ashwagandha powder too.

My curls & potions”Hair Food” is finished,in its place I will begin PhytoPhanere today..

My regular Biotin is finished,in its place I will start the sublingual form today..Natrol

Happy Hair Growing!

Greetings Ladies,
I take my vitamins consistently (doing so has been life changing for me), and I'm a regular lurker of this thread buuut now I want to participate :). My vitamin regimen is largely built on post and recommendations from LHCF. I started my regimen in 2015 and haven't looked back
:bdance:
1.) Your current length and the length you hope the vitamins will help you achieve (or other goal that you wish to achieve). My current length is somewhere around mid-back or maybe a little longer. My short term and ongoing goal is continued growth and healthy hair; my ultimate goal is healthy TB length hair, which I refer to as pocahontas length.
2.) Any of the vitamins or supplements you're using for the health of your hair (or body in general). Daily I take: a multi-vitamin, BioSil, Viviscal, MSM; hyaluronic acid; daily wheatgrass; prescrip Vit D, iron, glucosamine and chondroitin
3.) How long you intend to take the vitamins for. I may make slight adjustments to what I take but plan to continue this reggie indefinitely.

I sort a week's worth of vitamins in snack baggies every Sunday night. To ensure that I take my vitamins daily, I take them to work. The baggie needs to be empty when I go to bed.
