I guess this is a style....it's going to be a style today. Its a nice rainy day. just a front side twist with a twisted bun. I moisturized last night can you tell? I am not the slick edges typa gal.

I posted this in the "Everyday Hair, The ugly, the beau.....balalabalab" too. There is nothing special about this style...I know this. But I posted it any.

Very cute style!

@AdoraAdora24 I am always amazed at the rich blackness and shine than moisture infuses into the hair. It's so beautiful
Thank you! Growing up I always was told how black my hair looks. It looks blacker when properly moisturized. Usually my hair stays moisturized for about 5-7 days, then I re-moisturize.
My hair is buttery soft btw. Feels kinda silky:look:

Y'all already know I use cheap products so....

I used a diy mix with honey the other day and when I got out my twa was looking jet black to the point that it was literally sparkling. My bathroom lights were bouncing off if it every which way like I had never seen. It was glistening like a diamond with many, many dimensions on display. It felt so soft, silky and strong that I couldn't believe it. My texture was lookin uniform 4b all over, and I could see the year of growth since my second big chop that my hair had gone through by the added circumference of my fro. I was in low porosity paradise for the whole evening, just touching the quaffs of dense hair growing out of my head, feeling so blessed.

I realized I love my naps so much. Even though I've struggled a lot with them, nothing beats them at their best. I sometimes imagine my hair when it's TBL, shrunken around my shoulders and looking sooo thick and framing my face. I will enjoy every step of the way there.

(Since this thread has been lacking in stories I thought I'd give it a shot. How'd I do? Lol)

:happydance::headspin: I'm feeling you!! The love is real.

OMG, Adora, your hair is so beautiful. I am so jelly, it's just so juicy.
Thanks for sharing...I am def. going to try that twisty bun.
Thank you!! I think I got that idea from a YouTube video. I twisted about 5 twists and pinned them to form a bun. After pulling hair up with a large elastic band. The less you tighten the band the bigger the bun that's the secret. With natural hair the volume is already there.

@AdoraAdora24 I still remember you bursting on the scene and everyone waiting days for pictures. I don't remember the details just the build up and that you did not disappoint. And boy, your hair is even more gorgeous than I remember.:love::love:
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not think anybody remembered that from 9 years ago on a Thanksgiving night!!! It was a blast right lol lol lol. Ah memories I'll never forget. Everybody was waiting on me! The pressure lol lol. Thank you for this it means so much. :rosebud::giveheart::sneakyhug:

@Natural-K Also you are right. My hair was not as healthy then as it is now. I was applying heat and color then! Now I let it grow as it pleases with no abuse.

Your attention and care has paid off and it shows!! :strong:

You have fulfilled the title of this thread  And you are getting your money's worth from your new camera. :lol; Love all of the bun pics.

Sigh to have long black, shiny, moisturized hair
Thank you! I sometimes have to stop in awe and ask "is this really on my head?" I look up and say "Thank you Lord for long healthy hair". I think that was a major part in my success was Thanking the Lord even when my hair was really short I thanked Him for long hair as tho it was. And now it IS. And in just 32 months post relaxer like Where does that happen....

I have seen YouTubers go natural way before me yet my hair is double theirs. I don't mean to compare , I am just counting my blessings. I said to the Lord one time "i know you want us to have long hair!!!"

@faithVA if you would have seen my hair on 6/5/15 (32 months ago) It was horrible! I relaxed it that day, that was my last relaxer. Broken off crown, uneven, thin, stripped, the color was brown due to relaxer chemicals, see through, dry, you name it. I had a few bald spots too!!!

And then I googled "Prayers for hair restoration" the rest is history. I saw peoples testimonials that gave me hope.

Until recently, I've been on some medication that exacerbated my hair loss due to PCOS. I cut my hair short as it was so fragile and so much was falling out whenever I manipulated it. Right now my goal is just to have a full hairline some thickness like this young lady. It night not seem like much to some people but reaching that milestone would mean a lot to me right now.60ce2e1835182154d8f20627c667d0cb.jpg
