I had to get on my laptop to upload these pictures. Like I said I kept the blonde in for about a year. I miss it but it was getting expensive to maintain. I do wanna do it again in the future.

Wow thank you!! I am more motivated to post pictures after this post, not that I wasn't really motivated before... I will be getting a new phone that takes better pictures! And I agree with you that It might be where I live or just the frame of mind of a few people that I have encountered. Not everyone has that same thinking. On Friday I am taking a trip to the Verizon store to check out phones. I will have LHCF in mind while picking.. Note: phone must have a camera with a flash this time.

I have had my flash off for about 3 years on my camera! I seriously thought my camera on my telephone was degrading until I read your post. I got an Aha! and went to the internet to learn to turn my flash back on. And voila! my pictures are crystal clear! Thank you @AdoraAdora24 .

I would agree! You DO have the type of hair people pay for. I have seen many a wig and half wig with the texture of your hair that was the 'rage' on Youtube.

More importantly to me, it is the health, shine, thickness and length of your beautiful hair that adds to its strikingness and overall beauty. You do a great job with your lovely hair! I hope you post more pictures of it.

@Chicoro thank you so much. I personally think it's all in the products/technique. I don't remember what i used that particular day but i pretty much copied the glamtwinz wash n go products combos down to a tee.

My hair is not yet loooooong, but it is healthy. When I straighten it, I definitely get compliments from friends and family. My husband LOVES my hair. We were walking an Atlanta mall on vacation, and he was beaming, all proud.

My dream, fantasy scene:
We're on vacation in the islands. I'm wearing my waist-length hair both out and in a single braid during the vacation. Dh and I make a gorgeous pair on the dance floor. My hair is like a gorgeous curtain when we're in the pool, at night, looking up at the beautiful, night sky.

Armpit-length, destination waist-length!

Both are motivating, and that's the main point of this thread! To be a place where you can go when you get tired/unmotivated during your hair journey. I will be 32 months natural on 2/5/18. I can't wait to say I'm 3 years natural! Last night while trying to take pictures my hair kept expanding the longer it was exposed to the air! Whoowee. It wasn't even falling by time I was done.

One more story: when I went blonde my friends walked right past me. It happened on several occasions with different groups of friends. They didn’t recognize me with the new hair color!

I am happy now. And I will really be so joyful once my hair reaches the longest it's ever been. My hair was WL before, but it did not last long because I ruined it via flat ironing and relaxing it. I just wanted to see my length all the time ya know. But this time around I will get to WL and beyond. I don't even own a flat iron anymore and i would never get 2 feet of a chemical again.

Fine if I'm WL but look like shoulder length...bring on the glorious shrinkage please.

A co-worker the other day said that my hair was "Adora-able" (my name is Adora) because it was in two twists with a bun in the back. She said I looked like a little girl lol. Fine with me. I except No shade on my twists. They save my hair ok.

Twists are in the Black Girls/Women survival hand book. We twist....thats what WE do.

You can enjoy your length by doing roller sets. You don't need to flat iron.

Seriously? You need to be spanked . The way you go on sometimes, I assumed your hair was frail and fragile. This is one of the healthiest heads on the board. Nice and thick. It may not be as long as you want it, but your dream is already coming true. IMO fullness is half the battle.
