Joining this thread and hoping to learn. I looked back to 2024 and realized I was trapped in a buying cycle that I learned from my mom who literally goes out almost daily to shop to self soothe for her own issues and frustrations and anxieties that she has not dealt with. While the majority are for the house needs others are just those same habits and I’m working with a therapist to address them.

My literal nickname is the Amazon Queen. I hate going out shopping for almost anything but online shopping has opened a whole new world. I was even flabbergasted at my new job when I went to a face to face and some of my coworkers had Amazon orders sent to our hotel!!!!

Currently I am proud of myself for days when I don’t order anything (although it’s still almost always just things for the household needs) but my goals are to reign that spending in and have more no buy challenges.

Hey Ya'll!:grouphug:

I've been doing good on the Hair N/B and I slowed way down on buying random Skin Care too.

I am going to save my money for my Skin Care and plan to get a little cosmetic dental work done in 2025 so I'll be working on that for now and just trying to cut down on a whole lot of totally unnecessary spending and focus on those 2 big ticket Beauty Items for 2025.:twocents:

We're still in the 2nd Month of 2025 - so there is still time for self-correcting any previous bad $ practices.

Instead of buying hair products, I set up a hair appointment. I like to keep things simple these days. I hope to get a flat twisted style next month. I'm not good at styling my hair, so I found myself an affordable natural hair stylist in my area to do my hair for me. I just make sure to budget my hair appointments and pay cash for it
