EXCHANGE UPDATE: just spoke to the good ole folx at www.maxiusbeauty.com and i told her how my maxi lite goes out and turns off immediatly after heating...
well she said that sounds like a sensor problem and they are going to have to replace it..
she asked me if i wanted for them to have UPS pick it up from me tomorrow or did I want them to mail me a prepaid label and return it myself...
I opted to have them send me the label since i wanted to use it for Xmas..:look::grin:
So there is the update...pretty painless..customer service is fantastic!! Will update again after i send it back and get the replacement....

Because I had a very good dream about me using the Maxiglide on my hair last night, I just ordered it. And thanks soooo much for the $20 off coupon code. Instead of 3 payments, I just split it into 2!!

I know but I didn't realize it was big enough to club someone over the head with. :blush: I will keep it anyway. I'm going to buy the MP and use that until I reach full waist length then break out my XP :grin:.
 
So as I go back thru this post I realized.. I got my roommate the MP ...I Pray this works well with her 3b/3c natural THICK as day hair..since she might need the XP ..I guess , since I plan on biting the bullet and getting myself one for a late christmas gift.. I'll just get the XP and we might have to switch off cause my hair isn't as dense as hers. I'll see how it goes when she retouches her flatiron job tho..:look: I pray it works :look:

or did I get it right :look: .. hope so ..:look:

I just ordered an MP.... lol I had to get the super express shipping.. It gets here friday.. I take my weave down that day and I use it and post pics... i hope :)

The only difference is the size of the plates so it basically depends on your preference of plate size. I don't think there's a specific one for length or thickness.
 
Here's a couple pics of my maxiglided hair. The maxi will get your hair even straighter than these pics if you want it to but I don't like my hair that straight. I had my hair in a bun before these pics so there's slight waves in it.

I use the maxiglide on no more than setting one and it takes one to two passes. DON'T SLEEP!! LOL

Thought about getting the extended warranty but decided not to..it comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty already I believe. I hope I'm wrong, but 2 years from now I prob will have moved on to the next hot flat iron...:perplexed
 
man... y'all be tripping. made me go and order this darn thing and I just bought the anika a couple of weeks ago because of a thread and I have the solia- shoots! lol, but I can't wait to get it! I don't know whether this is a fluke, or whether it is another perk of the MaxiGlide, but I just washed my MaxiGlided hair and had virtually no shedding or breaking... nothing in the detangling comb, no hair ball where the tub drains. Is that a sign that I do not have to be afraid to use it more often? :look:
