I picked Co washing,
Air Drying, (tie down with scarf, good the next day)

Lil Manipulation, (to moisturize my ends only, then put back in bun)

No brushing, (Its been awhile since I use a brush, silk scarf does it oil, with my coconut pudding-love this stuff)

Pre shampoo with Coconut oil, hair is stronger afterwards, love COCONUT OIL

Protecting Styling, My bun

No manipulation, protective styling, co-washing, comb (when soaked with conditioner), shampoo (only when my scalp gets dirty)

Protective styling a few times during the week (need to do more often)
cowashing twice a week
shampooing once a week
no direct heat

I co wash twice a week, baggy, and protective style 24/7. I manipulate my hair only @ wash times and have virtually no shedding. This has contributed to my lenth retension tremendously.

My sew-in is allowing me to be a no mani, co-washin, airdryin, no comb or brush happy to be freestylin sexy mama! lol :lachen:

I picked....
Protective Styling
Airdrying
Co-washing
Daily Washing

I also don't use hair dye (only henna) and I do deep treatments at least 3x a week.

I would never dare to NOT comb my hair. If I did that all my hair would be ripped out. I like to daily co-wash and when I detangle very few hairs fall out. I also DO use a brush to help me slick back my sides and front. Natural or relaxed, if I don't comb on a daily basis I get split ends.

Not sure if I responded before but I'll answer again (my regimen has probably changed)...I've seen the most growth with low manipulation, no direct heat, protective styling, constant moisture thru frequent DC, lite dustings (trims) as needed, airdrying, moisturizing and sealing daily. :yep: There's nothing hyped about those things for me.

For me, all of these (in that order)

deep conditioning
protective styling
streching relaxer
little or No heat
air drying

I do: Airdrying and Co-washing

I also, comb, brush and shampoo. I don't protective style, baggy, daily wash or do pre-shampoo treatments.

As far as manipulation....that just depends on the style I'm rockin' at the time!

Pre-poo's/DC/Protein Treatments
Co-wash
Air drying (when I don't I roller set)
Low Mani Styles
Stretching Relaxer
M&S

co washing
no shampoo
low manipulation
air drying
i think with my hair type..these things are vital for it to be healthy

I do protective styles and I was airdrying up into a month ago. I comb my hair everday when I wear it down just to unwrap it in the morning and brush it everyday whenever I bun to make it smooth. I baggy when I wear half wigs.

It just depends on how you wish to wear your hair.

For W&G baggying, cowashing, low manipulation and air drying

For straighter styles you would use a whole new set of products and rules and tools.

I'm surprised at all the things I actually do...

No shampoo...because my scalp never really feels that dirty, it tears up my hair, and water/conditioner are good cleansers.

Cowash...because it works well.

Airdrying...because I don't believe in heat nor do I need it for any of my hairstyles.

Prepooing...because coconut oil has amazing properties for the hair and it contributes to my hairs health.

Ummm i dont do anything special in terms of technique at all...

I don't protective style... causes stress and "weak" spots, plus i hate wearing my hair up

I comb my hair daily

I use shampoo, i have scalp exzema and a no poo routine would be disastrous

I hate CO-washing, too much manipulation, plus it aggravates my scalp

I trim often, never even considered baggying!

I do airdry 30-50% of the time, and i prepoo with oil 25% of the time.

Same here. :yep:

^ ITA! Now that I am natural, air drying is great! Protective styling helps my ends (I am a twister :yep:) Before, I could not get the technique down enough to keep my hair from being brittle.

I think most techniques here are helpful, and many of them, I will probably end up doing as my journey continues.
