im sorry, but why do some black men always have to compare long hair to spanish women if its long!!!ughhh!!!! Chris Rock- "That's a J-Lo head of hair"

First off I hate that as a person of Hispanic heritage I'm offended because I know a lot of Latinas who's hair is jacked up, weaved up, damaged and what not.

On a side note I kind of wish Oprah would have swirled her face like people do on Fotki when she showed her natural hair.

And thank you Solange

I officially love Solange now. She looks so much prettier with her twa! It's true what Chris said, sometimes relaxed hair/weaves, etc. can make a person look regular,

Oprah NEEDED a relaxer. She wore her hair str8 EVERYDAY & she has acknowledged that her hair would be damaged if she manually str8tened daily.

That was a very good segment with Solange. I love what Chris Rock said at the end "Good hair is however you choose to wear your hair" and I liked what he said to Solange about her beauty being a bit typical before and alot more noticeable now.

me too! I guess that natural pic of her is after she was growing it out all that time, and before she relaxed it?

Yea, she said the pic was just before she got the relaxer put in....I know that's probably better for her to have a relaxer but I am still a little disappointed.

Chris is absolutely right. I think the problem comes when naturals become militant and are like straight hair is the anti-christ and relaxed/ texlaxeds tell a natural 'girl you got nappy hair need a perm.' I honestly believe we will be fine once we gain a mutual respect for one another's hair.

I was a little well alot put off by the title of his documentary and wonder if seeing it will be any better than the clips they have shown. Because to me Chris Rock really does not appear to have the full concept of black women's hair and was only touched now that he is faced w/ teh problem w/ his own daughter. Not to be mean but i wonder how alot of celebrities will feel when it's their daughter being turned down b'c of their skin tone or hair texture.

But on another note I really don't think this show gave a clear explanation about black women's hair. I'm sure white women will now MORE inquired to ask or wonder about our hair.

I loved the whole show.

Oprah's hair looked fab.

I'm glad Solange said that all hair is good hair. I was surprised that she got a relaxer at 4 years old. I dont care how kinky or "nappy" your hair is no one needs a relaxer at that age.

I can't wait to see the movie.

I didnt know white women color their hair so much.

i'm glad. now i hope all who still thinks her hair is fake will believe it's hers. but, then again haters will continue to hate. OW, you go girl with your healthy head of hurr....i mean hair.

One of the things that stood out to me was how Ali said that she wanted to be pretty when Chris Rock asked her how she thought she was standing out by coloring her hair blonde when everyone else was blonde.

She tried to make a joke out of it, but I believe there was a ring of truth to it.

Also, I hate to jump on the Tyra-bashing train, but this show proves why Oprah is Oprah and Tyra is Tyra.

I liked the show...boy I thought Oprah was natural. This proves you can have a head full of healthy thick relaxed hair or thick natural hair. The choice is yours.
