I'm loving her and her hair. Her reasoning on the regimen video shows what a good head she has on her shoulders.

Beautiful inside and out!

Did she say what leave-ins/moisturizers if any she uses? I remember somwthing about vanilla something, but couldn't read the label.

Her hair is absolutely stunning long thick and gorgeous but a 4a, she is not lol. I saw the video and how she's able to slick her hair down into a pony and the large curls. She has wavy hair when wet that doesn't have a coil in sight. She's a 3c.

My hair idols RusticBeauty and sera2544, Aijo are true 4a's. Mwedzi is a true 4b (and a fab one if I do say so myself) true long thick haired 4a's are kinda hard to come by on YT but they're representin on Fotki if you know how to identify it and what to look for:yep:

Her hair is no where close to being a coarse type 2. She is most def a 4. Here is the link for her video that shows pics of her hair when she first BC in 2004 and how her hair has progressed over the years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6wF...nghairdontcare2011&feature=player_profilepage

That's so true. I was just thinking this. In the video with her wet hair she says she just brushed it. So it's stretched out. But if you look at her bc video you can really see that she is a 4. I'm 4a but if I brush my hair with a denman (which I don't do anymore as my strands are too fine for that) it smooths it out a lot. So that wet hair video is not the one to look at. She even says she brushed it. But looking at the bc video is where you really see her hair texture.

Her hair is georgeous. Isn't she a member here? I recognize the name from somewhere.....maybe a blog? I know I remember her name.

I just watched the washing long natural hair vid. What's up with everyone using pantene condish? Doesn't leobody also do this from you tube. I may have to relook into it.

As for the washing thing: I know that it varies. Some of us can wash daily or a few times a week. I know that doesn't work for me or I'd lose tons of hair. My fine hair likes once a week or sometimes I'll even wait for two weeks. I have relatives who have been known to go a month and they can sit on their hair when pressed it's so long. So I think it's all about moisture and of course strength to grow out hair.

What I thought was interesting though is that she tries not to get the shampoo on the ends of her hair because she think it strips the hair too much (good point!).
Yeah Leo does use Pantene as her leave-in and I think Teri does too.

I love it too.

It was vanilla latte. KBB's hair cream.

Thanks. I just went to the site. I can't believe I didn't know about this before!!!! I also looked up some reviews on it and they are all excellent. I am always looking for leave ins and moisturizers.

PLEASE NOTE: The hair cream may melt in transit during warm months. You can use it melted or put it in the refrigerator to solidify. It will not regain its original whipped texture but it will work fine. The hair cream can not be refunded or exchanged if it melts.

Actually, I do think she has type 4 hair but since her hair is so long (and heavy) the weight of it is stretching out her coils, especially when it's wet. My hair is wavy when I'm directly under the shower stream because the pressure of the water.

I think if she went back to short hair today it'd be obvious that she has more 4 type hair than anything else. I think Velvet's hair is a good example of this as well. The longer it gets, the more it appears to have 3 type hair in it.

In her progress vid there's a fro shot early on when her hair was about CL length straight and it looks exactly like my hair. Different people's texture all react differently to length - it's not a far stretch to think the length and thickness of her hair is stretching the coils.

It just makes me mad to know THAT's how long my hair's gotta get before it'll weigh itself down. :lachen:

I know what you mean about the hair being streched out when under the pressure of water, thats why I detangle that way but in the bc video she has curls in her hair that are visible from far away (classic type 3 hair) not coily like 4a/b hair and she was able to do a completely slicked down ponytail now I know that there are silky type 4a's like the woman on familygoingnatural on youtube but she doesn't really fit that type from the pictures she posted in that video in my opinion she's definitely a 3c.

I don't care how long my 4a/b hair gets I don't ever see it getting wavy under any circumstances no amount of water, hair product or even length will cause it to lay down like it was in her ponytail.

Like I said, to me, some of the best examples of long haired 4's are Rustic, sera, aijo, and mwedzi:yep:

I think this is a classic case of hair typing confusion. It's not an exact science which is why we've come to different conclusions.

Also, I don't know about Rustic and Aijo but IMO Mwedzi and Sera are not 4a's at all. I know Mwedzi calls herself a C-napp and Sera's hair looks completely 4b.

But like I said, hair typing is not a science.
