My hair only got molested by one person when I was relaxed ( a male co-worker) and he always asked before he touched my hair

now that Im natural everytime I have a twist out or puff, I KNOW someone will come an squish it

thank goodness no stranger/aquaintance has molested my hair thus far

I dunno, my mother is kinda superstitious and she always told me as a child not to let strangers touch my hair beacsue they could harm me with obeah or make it fall out.

molested by my professor's wife. she was asian and I had a twistout :/ I don't mind if someone touches my hair but I'd like to know you a bit more first, lol

Im in the Army and when some of my white friends get tipsy they LOVE touching/rubbing my hair, ALL AT ONCE (I had it out after a huge poofball)! Then they say, that's real black girl hair! I'm natural . I don't get annoyed. I know them well and love them for not being uneducated about my texture :) (Also, I get the whole hairporn/hairmolesting thing. But some women here might take offense if they have been sexually abused before or their children. IMHO Not trying to be super serious or create conflict. Some titles may need disclaimers is all.)

The most obvious incident of hair molestation for me happened at the mall. I was walking minding my own business when some guy just literally runs his hand through my hair and keeps on walking. I turn around to say something but he just looked back at me and kept going. That was the strangest thing...

My mom molests my hair all of the time. But I don't mind because she molested it before I knew what hair was lol.

Other family members do and I do mind.... the whole personal space thing is important to me. lol My sis told me that I didn't have to worry about random strangers touching my grass because I look "angry" (I'm not lol) and like "I will beat some tail". (No I'm not violent. I'm relatively passive, but I abhor foolishness and mayhem.)

Can I touch your hair right now?:sekret: I'll be one to admit that I am a closet hair toucher. I have yet to act on my urges but I think about it every time I see a natural. I fantasize about the cottony soft texture:sekret: I think I'm a hair lesbian:lol:

lol but you asked. it's not molesting if you ask for permission and are granted it. :)

I was at a get together the other night and towards the end of the night I was bending down to fix my boot, when I stood up two guys pounced! Hands in my scalp all that. It was a friggin tag team and the first one pounced cus he wanted to touch my hair the second followed because he thought it was a wig the whole time.

Guy A: 'Yo it's mad soft. That's that natural hair right there.'
Guy B: 'Word, like a target pillow.'

They tried to pounce on my besties hair but she had a weave in and promptly told them so, lol. I just laughed. It doesn't bother me and as long as you aren't trying to harm me I'm cool.

:lachen:Naw they dnt reach for the scalp! Most just touch the ends and caress the ponytail! Most of the time its men that do this so i dnt think they care they just wana feel somebody up :lachen:

Maybe they are attracted to naturals. I'm married so it freaks me out when guys try to touch my hair.

yeah i hate when people touch my hair....a stranger or someone idk like that i'll say something to, but im usually to nice to say things to people i know...but just because we know each other doesnt mean you just touch my hair without asking...&then sometimes they touch it and i let it slide & then they tell other ppl something like "omg feel her hair, its so soft"...wtf, this isnt an exhibit! thats why when my hair gets longer imma keep it hidden in buns or updos most of the time.

I like that saying, I"m going to try that.

I figure I must be because I have no interest in touching men's hair at all no matter how nice but Longhairdontcare, MsLaLa, BeautifulBrownBabyDoll....?:naughtycouch:

Girl you are crazy!

Thank you for your point of view. I work w/survivors of sexual abuse and understand what you are saying.

Ms Lala your hair!!!

I usually don't mind if people ask for permission to touch my hair but I really dislike it when folks think it's okay to just go for it. Just 2 days ago a coworker (she likes me and calls me her daughter) was boasting to another coworker about my hair. She describes how long it is (by regular, non LHCF standards :look:) and proceeded to remove my hair clip and unpull down my bun. All this while I'm ducking and pulling away and shaking my head and saying no... but I was seated and she was standing so she got me. I felt like my space had been majorly invaded. :nono:

next time scream louder while swatting your hands at her. she'll back up and if she doesn't, aim for the shins.

:blush:Oh no she went way to far!!!!!

Yes, I have been hair molested by black and whites! Even natural black women, first they ask me how I get such tiny, little defined curls. I have learned how to defined my 4b curls with gel and they look like tiny like pen-spring sized spiral curls Then they start stretching my little curls to see how long my hair is! GRRRrrrr! My dentist and dental hygenist who are both white said "I just want to squeeze you hair! It looks so squeezable!" They didn't dare though.

I usually bun my hair, but I chose to flat iron and wear it down for Thanksgiving. I was standing in line in the gas station, and I felt a slight tug on the left side of my hair. I turned to see this woman (black) smiling at me and when she saw the look on my face she backed up and said "I just wanted to move your hair off your shoulders since I can't do my own like that". I have been working on myself, but I lost it and let her have it! She turned and walked away, and the lady she was with said that I didn't have to act like that. I told her she had 2 seconds before she was gonna get it too! You just don't touch people! Period!

Happened both when I was relaxed and as a natural...I don't understand why people can't keep their fricking hands to themselves..

Ms.Lala
I'm not the type to invade peoples space and have never touched anyones hair unless I was styling it, but uh I will be honest If saw you in person I would be tempted and want to touch your hair.
Dang girl your hair is irresistible. I would not touch but I understand their urge.

 Exactly. Your butt could have been pumping gas, eating Cheetos, just left the restroom, or heaven knows what else! So keep your filthy fingers to yourself!

LOL, I wouldn't mind if you ask first.

No one has molested my hair yet...I think that when I wear it flat ironed, they just assume it's a weave and to my surprise, when I went to get my hair dyed in July, the other stylist in the shop assumed that my curly hair was a wig until she saw my stylist take me straight to the shampoo bowl...
