I was just about to post that I aint know who Nikos' Cousin was...until I read a thread that spelled it out...We are Nikos' Cousin because apparently the Site Maintenance guy is Nikos Dimopoulos (look at bottom of page). That's all I know though about Nikos. I think he might have been extrememly active in the site at it's birth because of all of the special stuff they needed to do to get our beloved LHCF up and going and although I wasn't around at that time I figure he made quite an impression since we all wanna be his cousin. ;) he he he :grin: I just love how we be claiming folks that even kin to us. lol!:lachen::lachen:
 
All these years even after starting my hair care journey, I have been pronouncing shea butter as "she butter." LOL No one EVER corrected me until earlier this year. It was a lady employee in the BSS, but I didn't like how she tried to make fun of me in front of the other shoppers. I told her "She butta, Shay butta, darnit you know what I mean." All she had to do was kindly and discreetly correct me, she didn't have to try to put me on blast... :lachen:
 
While I was still a lurker I would read about all kinds of great products and the poster would always say you can get it at the BSS. And every time I'd be like damn, too bad I don't have a BSS around here, not realising BSS stands for ANY beauty supply store :lachen:

But it happened to me as well. I realized what it was I saw that EVERYONE had a darn BSS but me ! :blush:
 
I didn't know what H.A.M meant so the whole time I kept wondering why messy hair would make you look like pork.
 
This isn't really about hair but I thought sylver2(RA) was an RA as in Resident Advisor in college. Didn't realise that was her name till the pantene contest entry, lol.
 
Before joining, a friend of mine (also a member here) would say 'Girl you should stretch your relaxers'. I was like 'No, I can't do that'. She said that she would do it for weeks at a time. I thought long and hard and was like 'There is a forum of women that pull and stretch strands of their hair to make it long?' I didn't know until after I joined that it meant to stretch the amount of time betwixt relaxers.
 
I kept thinking HTH was some type of hair product. Then I thought it was some special LHCF farewell (don't ask, lol). Never thought to ask or figure out it meant "hope that helps". Makes so much sense now...

Members with Fotki accounts post their passwords (to keep strangers out) in their LHCF profile where you can type in your real name, country you live, etc. It can be found at the end of the list. You only have access to this information if you are a member.

Some member only give out their passwords upon request by sending a private message to them. This will ensure even further privacy.
