I am doing heavy treatments right now. I bought the Paul Mitchell deep treatment and I will just soak my hair in moisture. I don't want to be a pessimist but it doesn't look good, my hair is so thin. And my hair smell like perm...go figure.
I am just really disappointed...but thank God it was just hair and nothing serious...![]()
Sorry, but it's not just hair when you've been doing your best to take care of it just to have it messed up by some overzealous stylist who probably used the highest heat setting on the dryer. Who knows how many times she went over the same spot to give it that super sleek look? You were better off blowdrying your hair yourself, then using a chi to straighten.
Just give it plenty of TLC and keep using the Paul Mitchell Treatment as many times a week as you NEED to followed by a good moisturizing conditioner. Try not to manipulate it too much if you can.
It will get better. At least now you know.
So sorry this happened to you, Miss Norway. You'll bounce back from it. I remember when I burnt the hell out of my hair. Clumps came out to. I was devastated.Take it one day at a time.
OMG I'm so sorry!
I just got a DB 3 weeks ago and my curls came back just fine. I had to tell the woman to take it easy with the heat tho. Did they rollerset you first?
Please don't cut your hair without first doing some serious deep conditioning! The curls might come back!
Yes, they did a rollerset first.
I don't think I can salvage my hair, it's thin and dead..It's worse than when I had a perm.
But I will continue to care for it. I just rinsed out the treatment and it's still breaking off and coming out in clumps.
All I can do is wipe my tears and start over...
People tend to forget that Dominicans are NOT natural hair people and if it was up to them, they would just strap you in a chair, slap the perm in your head and get on with business.
The DB is meant for PERMED hair that has been released from ROLLERS. They never created it for unprocessed hair. The heat of the dryer is INSANE and this was back in the days when I was relaxed. After awhile I just opted for a doobie and just called it a day.
