Hair type is 4 something i have no clue and my regi...is aphogee shampoo for damaged hair...DC with NTM or alter ego and all the stuff in my fotki lol

I never had a hater comment. I've always had it set so that u have to be logged in to view/comment. Not sure how I'd react to a hater comment. I'd prolly shrug it off since (in some not all cases) the haters say what others r thinking. It is still waaaaaay wrong to say it if it is mean or hurtful. Some ppl just try to bring others down so they can feel up. Somtimes the person is just plain ignorant.

My thing is, why do people do ignorant stuff like that? People take out their time to show their hard work and pride in themselves only do have it defaced with negative comments. I mean....don't these people have lives?!! Stuff like that makes me want to delete Fotki all together.

IMO, it's due to jealousy.

I'm glad you mad a fotki, your hairs really pretty... like the girls have said you can change the settings for who can make comments etc..

I've only ever had spam several times from some chinese guy trying to sell extensions, I finally got fed up and told him to get lost and I've not heard from him since lol..

I haven't had it happen, but I have seen it on other people's fotkis. Just stuff that didn't need to be said or wasn't true at all. Sometimes people need to tear others down to build themselves up.

I think all of us have. The sad thing is, it is all done anonymously.You want to be like "Man up and leave messages under your real fotki name!" Some people are so unhappy with themselves.. they are adamant on raining on your parade. They can kick rocks.

I have not had any negative comments. I have seem ppl with Fotki's claiming APL/BSL and they were not even close.

But I didnt say anything........but I can see how some ppl would not be able to not say anything. Its some ppl's nature to point out the truth.

I don't have any hating... (now watch..now I'mma have hating)... I just be sad bc I have so few comments and like 800 visitors... I guess that's a good thing. I did post my shedding in one pic and asked if it was a lot.... crickets.. LMAO... Luckily the shedding subsided.

I can't see why people would do that.. .most people's fotkis I go visit is because I LOVE THEIR HAIR and want to know what their reggie is or where they started from... If I didn't like it.. I wouldn't go to it.. and surely wouldn't comment. I think it's juvenile to post some haterrific comments!

I only had one in my previous Fotki (not the current one). But that was way back in the dark ages before they instituted all the cool features where you can keep unwanted folks out. And I had that Fotki open to the public for 3-4 years.

So don't sweat it, open a Fotki if you want one. You can block comments completely if you want, just allow other Fotki members to comment, or even just allow people on your "friends" list to comment.

Usually if someone's taken time to be negative, then there's something wrong with them. I would take it as a compliment that someone found mine fascinating enough to waste their precious time going through.

Don't fear any negative comments. I have mine set where you have to sign on to leave comments. Yet still, if someone really wanted to leave a nasty comment, they can log in as a guest. But it has been all love, even when giving critique, its been constructive. Let us know if you do, 'cause I love fotkis.

I hate using the word never, but I haven't received any fotki haters as of yet. That's probably because I have my fotki rigged so that only fotki members (or my friends) can comment my photos. That helps a lot. You can also control who sees your pictures and comments and whether or not you want a guest book .

P.S. I also stopped advertising my Fotki link in my siggy. Any stranger can see your fotki link if you post it in your siggy, but only LHCF members can see your link if you post in on your profile page.

ITA i also don't put my fotki i my siggy any more some people take the internet very seriously.
haven't had a bad or mean comment yet but setting my fotki so only fotki members can comment i think has really helped

Wow...that's really unfortunate. At 5'9 and 146 lbs I wonder what they're thinking when they see my pics. You are tiny.

So far so good for me too. But then again, my fotki is so basic and simple, not many people probably come anyway. Those that do come are mostly people like me, tired of gimmicks and complicated stuff. Some people believe that using the natural stuff I use won't make their hair grow. Don't want to preach, but it doesn't occur to some people that healthy hair always grows, but some people have a hard time putting that together. But back to the topic, so far so good. I did get a marriage proposal once from some man in Africa, but other than that, it's been all good.

I'll be the first to admit that I notice the details when I check someone or something out, in general. I notice hair, skin, body shape, fit of clothes and garments...lol even furniture and products in the background lol. I am not justifying rude or nasty comments, but to be honest, even though I don't post them, I have never seen one that was a blatant rude lie. More like I read it and think to myself "girl u know that didn't need to be said, and if it were constructive criticism it could have been sent through more private means". I mean, think about it, how many people post pictures and have no idea what the picture looks like? They know, and they share. There isn't really anything a person can tell me about myself that I don't know already...and definitely nothing that can speak as a catalyst for me to change an aspect that doesn't need improvement. So I say don't worry about the negative stuff, even with an open fotki...besides I took at look at your pictures and from what I saw it will be pretty hard for someone to nit pick a flaw...

I too am a big time detail person. This is why in most of my pics, the background was taken into consideration. Trust me. I looked at the pics before I posted them. I have some pics where I look like total ****e but it's about my hair, not about how my face was made up or not. I"ve gotten a little less picky about those pics, but I do pick and chose them with the "nosey" in mind. Still, why be rude...

^^ Lol.. this is why I always take photos in the laboratory.. aka the bathroom... My counters may be a bit junky..but not as junky as some I've seen..lmao.
