I 've had a few....from Ms "Anonymous" :rolleyes:

In one of my pics, the person had the nerve to say "Nice hair....but you could lose a few pounds" :perplexed:

Thing is, at 5'8" and 137 lbs....I'm kinda tiny. After that comment, I had to change my settings so that only members could comment.

I hate using the word never, but I haven't received any fotki haters as of yet. That's probably because I have my fotki rigged so that only fotki members (or my friends) can comment my photos. That helps a lot. You can also control who sees your pictures and comments and whether or not you want a guest book :yep:.

P.S. I also stopped advertising my Fotki link in my siggy. Any stranger can see your fotki link if you post it in your siggy, but only LHCF members can see your link if you post in on your profile page.

I've had a fotki for years and so far so good. You can avoid it by making sure only people who are registered fotki members can leave comments. Most people that have left negative comments in other people's fotkis post anon without being registered. HTH Q
 
My thing is, why do people do ignorant stuff like that? People take out their time to show their hard work and pride in themselves only do have it defaced with negative comments. I mean....don't these people have lives?!! Stuff like that makes me want to delete Fotki all together.

If you need to lose weight, then I would hate to hear what Anonymous would have to say about me.

I have also set my option to "Fotki members only" so if I do get negative comments at least they can't hide behide the name anonymous. If I see something I don't like then I just keep it moving, the negativity is so unnecessary.

WOW...i wonder if people go on others fotki's with the soul purpose of being rude or maybe its just their nature....

so much for having a fotki for "hair"......it amazes me how people can even notice other things when looking at hair pictures....

its all about the HAIR HAIR HAIR for me...other things dont bother me....

to answer op i'd say go for it.....you can always delete the nasty posts!!!!

Because they are lame cowards. I ignore folks who don't have the guts to be open about their foolishness. OP don't let stuff like that deter you. Go ahead and show off that pretty hair. Q

Yeah, that's how i have mines set up. But i've have of yet to receive any nasty comments.
 
I have seen some really negative comments in some fotki. I can't remember the member's name but "Anonymous" questioned her over and over as to her being a real woman. I was shocked that someone had that much time to harass her through fotki.
 
Yes, it's definitely easier to ignore an annoymous hater or a hater with a fotki account with no pictures. You can also set the option so that only your "fotki friends" can leave comments or view your comments. I don't think those negative attacks happen to often in fotki-land, though. :-) I agree with the others..your hair is beautiful!
 
I have a fotki but in order to see my stuff (and I have a lot of stuff in there) you have to be my friend and I have to be yours. So I have no friends and I am not the friend of anyone (maybe 4 people but I'm slowly deleting them) so I don't have those problems. :ohwell:
 
Your hair is very pretty. You should so get a fotki. I've never had any negative comments. I only get love from people on my fotki, and I find the comments flattering and encouraging. I thank/respond to everyone who leaves a comment, and I even leave mine open for non-fotki members to comment on. But you can always change your settings to disallow anonymous comments or turn comments off all together.

Ive had a few stupid ones probably like 5 bad out of 1000 great ones:lol:but have received a ton of love otherwise and leave mines open.
Your hair is very pretty. Go on ahead and make a fokti. U can put a password on it or have it for members only.

You can create a fotki with privacy settings.....

And - if you get too many wierd things.....lock it up for a while.... That is what I did.

All the weirdos went away.
 
Don't be afraid - knock on wood, I have had one since 2005, and no negative comments so far. Even if I get it, so what? the delete option is always there for me to use.

Just so you know, you have nothing to be afraid of bec your hair is amazingly gorgeous. I would love to be up in your fotki as often as possible:drunk::drunk:.

Your hair is so pretty..I would make a fotki. As for ignorant folk...hopefully they will stay away..if not that what the delete button and a good laugh are for....:grin: Besides we will post plenty of great compliments cuz we love beautiful hair! :yep:

ive had mine since 06 and no problems. i put the feature for members only because i was getting questions from annons and had no way to respond.

So far I haven't rec'd any negative comments but you know if you have long beautiful flowing hair a lot of folks just refuse to believe that black women can grow their hair to such beautiful lengths such as yours and several others here. So just be proud of yourself and revel in your beauty... heck it is your crowning glory!! All haters be damned!
