Yes I do. I go through phases and get mad at myself when I get lazy with my care. I don't always stay on top with my moisturizing like I should because my hair can get extremely dry.

definitely...MT, vitamins, and DCing are all areas where I have gotten relatively lazy. matter of fact there was a point last month where I got so lazy i didn't detangle for like 2 weeks...that was a disaster. it seems like the only time i am really diligent about upkeep of my hair is when it is straightened...then i am super afraid of breakage so i do about 50-11 things to it before i flat iron or rollerset, then make sure to keep it bunned up and sealed with coconut oil.

despite all that...i am pretty good about cowashing, detangling (ever since last month i won't go three days without using my shower comb) and moisturizing. i used to just leave in the conditioner and not put anything else in my hair till the next cowash but i have really seen a difference in the softness and definition of my everyday puff ever since i started applying baby buttercreme after cowashing. I just recently started megassaging again, and so far only about once a week, but hey it's something.

I've been loyal to not cutting my hair and growing it all the way out for several months now. My habit was cutting it, usually at whim, like when I see someone with a great cut. So, at services recently, there I am and my mind is wandering. I spot a woman at a distance who had lucious dark hair with a mad short cut. It was beautiful. I'm fighting the urge to get that style and deal with the growout phase later. When the person stood up and turned slightly, IT WAS A MAN! lol Thank G-d. I was tempted to put the scissors to my hair and it was a dude who needed a trim. I almost backslid.

Haven't been a backslider so far. I think I'm much too OCD/psychotically disciplined/paranoid to be disloyal to my hair just yet. I remember when I was home for the summer and my mother saw me tying on my scarf "yet again" she asked me if I wasn't ever going to let my hair breathe :ohwell:

yeah i'm a little on the OCD side myself with my hair and it is natural and short right now. i do go overboard with moisturizing and oiling my hair and scalp. this is why i need to just stop being lazy and twist it up to keep my hands out of it.

lol!!! wow you almost did backslide lol! a dude at service with a fierce cut figures

i'm getting tired of men with nicer hair than women, getting straight on my nerves :wallbash:

I had found a site with satin pillowcases but they are pricey and in ***** pink colors, i just want white or how about black? goodness lol!

For the most part I am pretty on top of it. But for the last couple of weeks I kind of neglected my hair. But I am back on top of it. I think it was because I was out of town visiting my SO and I got lazy and then the election nerves.

I sort of keep it simple so I won't backslide. In the beginning I was very anal on how and when. Now I wet it daily in the shower, add the moisturizing and protective oils and go. Pretty much in the routine of my life that way. Where I slip is wrapping it up at night...

I'm fiercely loyal to my hair regimen. The time I spend on my hair is one of the few things that I get to do that's just for myself, and I treasure it.

I agree with this entire statement. But the last two weekends, I've been using the blowdryer and bumping with the curling iron, but only because I havent had time to rollerset. And I used a heat protectant :look: I still feel guilty.:perplexed
