So whats your "beef" with MT?

:lachen: Why would you expect to have NL to WL in one year? MT does not make that claim nor should the users expect that to happen. The progress pictures that I've seen have been impressive. So I guess Black women shouldn't use anything to help them with shine, softness or strenghtening just because we are afraid that proves we can't do it on our own. Come on. :nono: People of other races use MT as well by the way, not just Black women. Has it occured to you that maybe those women of other races ARE using growth aids to reach those longer lengths? :spinning: I've never used a growth aid and MT should not be considered solely a growth aid it gives the hair other benefits that contribute to obtaining longer lengths like strenghtening the hair so that there is less breakage. It thickens, thin fine hair making it look fuller. It doesn't work for everyone but it works for me. And it's been a great investment.:yep:

Co-signing:yep:.

What she said and every season it's another product that "is da truf" and no one yet has ankle length hair from all of the growth aids that have come through here. I promise you in another couple of months, it will be another product that will grow hair in 4 hours. Until i see even one member that was bald and used a growth aid and is now ankle length, I won't believe it.

HAHAHA!!! ROTFL @ "ankle-length hair". :lachen:

Yeah, I don't know...my "beef" with MT so far is just that it's used (usually) for HORSES. Plus, I can't get over the fact that it might make you shed, and the ingredients...I dont' know... I guess I don't know if it's really "safe" to use.

I'm not saying however that I won't ever try it. I'm just a little on the fence about it right now.

Um you aready do :look:.. shampoo, condtioner, leave in, oils, food your eat. Thats to name a few.

I guess I should have been more clear. I try my very hardest to not put chemicals that can only be made in a lab on my body or in my hair. My regimen consists of products that are either naturally occurring or I could make them myself if I needed to (ie water, aloe vera, coconut oil, shea, etc.). I try to be just as strict with food, though that is more difficult. But I'm working on it.

:lachen: Right everyone is using something to acheive a healthier head of head. I wonder what would happen if we all stopped shampooing, conditioning, oils, eating healthy and taking vitamins? Hmmm, in my opinion MT is just an excellent protein conditioner with benefits. :yep: Like I said, I will no longer encourage people to buy MT because the more people who buy the higher the prices go up. So yeah by all means people don't buy it.

To All The Ladies for whom MT didn't work for please PM me, I'll gladly take them off your hands,.

:lachen: Why would you expect to have NL to WL in one year? I was being facetious. Basically I meant that I haven't seen anything amazing or anything that looks like more than normal growth. MT does not make that claim nor should the users expect that to happen. The progress pictures that I've seen have been impressive. Like I said before, the progress pictures are suspect TO ME. :spinning: All of what I wrote was my own opinion. I personally don't want to use anything to help me along. I want to know that I've done it without any kind of growth aid. Next time I'll be more clear. I've never used a growth aid and MT should not be considered solely a growth aid it gives the hair other benefits that contribute to obtaining longer lengths like strenghtening the hair so that there is less breakage. It thickens, thin fine hair making it look fuller. It doesn't work for everyone but it works for me. And it's been a great investment.:yep:I'm glad that you are happy with it. I would not be a great investment FOR ME as I don't believe and never will believe that it works or that it is safe to use

I thought it was obvious that I was writing about MY feelings as it pertains to MT and MY use (or nonuse). Guess it was not that clear.

Well actually I don't think it's a growth aid but we use it as such. It has a lot of natural ingredients in it that is good for the overall health of the hair and so I use it like a protein treatment as a result now. I do not apply to my scalp anymore. Not to mention the scent is awesome. I have noticed a marked difference in thickness and that's good enough for me. The length is there but hey, my primary aim is more thickness over length and the length is just a bonus for me:yep:.

I agree, if anyone reads the bottle of Mega-Tek Rebuilder it DOES NOT state to use on scalp. In fact it is to be used as a conditioner. Some of the users decided that it would be better to use on their scalp for various reasons. I apply to both hair and scalp. The product was initially meant for humans sufferening from hair loss due to chemical treatments and chemotherapy. Then they decided to market the product to horses and change the name (and some of the ingredients) to OCT for humans. Regardless MT is great for human crossover use and the company states that.

Hi there, I usually dont post much. But I've been thinking lately , although I would say there are alot of ladies using MT. There are still many ladies that wont give in, its obvious it works. Besides healthy hair alot of us are here for length, so why not try MT. Whats holding YOU back, I really would like to know, just curious.:drunk:

I don't think it's a "beef" loads of people who post here don't believe in using growth aids.

Yes, please stop encouraging. I already can't bear to spend $65+ dollars on OCT again, I'd hate if MT was forced out of my reach too.

MT made all my hair shed, it smells liked smoked bacon, I have to wash my hair 2x daily while using it and thus can't ever style my hair, i used MT on my horse and his hair shed too---matter of fact, he has a bald spot and his tail is completely gone. Poor thing. MT is bad, bad, bad :nono:

Oh, but could any of you who purchased it, but don't use it send it to me. I mean, it's not for me:look: I have another horse to try it on.:lachen:

Thanks so much for this post! I have been procrasting for two weeks to place an order. I will now order this Friday and cannot wait to begin using it to see what it will do for my hair. Health and Length are both very important to me. Anything that will improve both has to be a winner!

What is the best way to use this product? I think I have read where some ladies mix this with an oil and then apply to the scalp nightly. Is this what you do?

Now, this is a reason why I WOULD try it. But I would think that using it as instructed on the label would not cause shedding right? :look:

Anyway, I guess it seems that all the people reporting raves for MT are showing proof of its greatness by posting length progress pics and those folks rarely say they are just simply using it as a good conditioner. They seem to be mixing it up and putting it the scalp almost everyday, etc. It seems that all the focus is on growth, growth and mo’ growth. I don’t visit the popular MT threads and maybe there are reports there of it ust being a good conditioner.

I think you mean MTG (Mane Tail Groom) not MT (Mega Tek Cell Rebuilder)finewine83. MT smells like coconuts and MTG smells like smoked bacon, okay?

Hey! I think the best way to use it is to apply it directly to the scalp straight or mixed with your favorite oil 4-5 times week, even 3 would be fine.

:lachen:I was being facetious. I don't really have horses and I've never used MTG, but I do know the difference between it and MT.

MT works fine for me.

I think CurlyMoo got me :yep: Poochie may have too

Yes much of the rave is from those who really want long hair now. Because women want long hair and there is nothing wrong with wanting long hair. But to expect MT to get you 12 inches in 2 months is not going to happen. MT does do an excellent job at strengthening the hair. I have noticed less breakage. The bottle states to use it on the hair for 5-10 minute then wash out. OR you can use as a leave-in. Many of the women find that it's a strong protein so are afraid to use on the length of their hair so they put it on the scalp like a hair grease. Keep in mind that some of these women have never used it on the length of their hair. So with only a few people who actually used it on their hair I jumped out there and did it like the bottle states. I have no shedding other than the norm. I have less small hairs breaking and more longer hair strands. Which is what you want. Sometimes I just put it on my ends to strengthen them. There are many ways to use the product and not all of them will fit everyone.

:lachen:google and yahoo images have failed me. I tried to find a pic of "my" bald, tail-less horse. :lachen:

You should've been worried abuot anyone who'd have that story. Now you know that would've been a LHCF testimony right when it happened. :lachen: No, my MT is only for me.
