I understand her needing to charge but i have my own website that i pay only 6 dollars for a month that gives me so much bandwidth and internet space it's really ridiculous how much of it i dont use. She said she's charging because she's in the red with HT. Like what is she purchasing for that the website that's costing that much? I thought ning was free. She said something like her even getting 9,000 dollars will still have her in the red.

I'm really not sure why she would be in the red $9,000 unless she is factoring in the time she puts into her blog and forum. Typepad(blog host) is a maximum of $899 for unlimited bandwidth yearly and ning is free unless you're paying for premium features which don't cost much.

A self-hosted Wordpress blog with a dedicated server would be cheaper in the long run, and would provide much more control than Typepad. But I definitely don't recommend over extending by providing email, webcam, and phone support. $9.99 a month would be a steal for that type of consulting, but would burn her out fast.

It seems like she's wanting to start a salon online, and for 100 dollars i'd say a lot of people would at least want a money back guarentee if not satisfied.

I know it doesn't sound like much lol but it's free money. I mean i get no one's trying to knock her hustle, but her hustle seems to be a bad business move. I think if so many women like us are telling her, her prices are too steep don't you think she'd listen? We're not saying we won't pay at all, but 100 dollars is just seems like she's biting the hand that feeds her. But let me stop.

I agree. The worst thing you can do is make moves too fast.

Um....this paying is an interesting development. I just broke down today & bought her roller-setting DVD. I joined the ning site, but I hardly ever log in because they don't let you post links to other sites and to me that's wack. However, I love Macherie's videos and tutorials, very helpful!

I prefer K.I.S.S. & LHCF. I would probably pay a (small) fee or make a donation to K.I.S.S. and of course, I already paid for LHCF .
