Dis is the funniest **** I don heard in a long time!:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: Where the helz the vaseline or KY at cuz she shol trying to screw some folks in the a w/o lubrication in my opinion. How da helz you gone have a board within what amount of time then try to rip the members a new a-hole is beyond me. All in the name of yo hair gon grow! LOL

someone kept telling me people have been getting banned for speaking out, i wasn't even really that ugly about it. I was just being real with her, and i felt like i had the utmost respect. I really can't believe what this has gone into, but i got a new name and posted about me getting banned just now, because I can't believe how childish this has gotten. All i did was give criticism, and she DID ask for our opinions. woooo. :nono:

Well dang. I had a feeling someone would go over there and say something. But this is also called customer service. If your customer/soon to be customer aren't don't understand a service at least explain it.

Girl it ain't that serious. One slip of the scissor its all gone. We all agree to disagree. No biggy. Just like you found this place there are other places to get info. You will be alright. Look at it this way. One less log in to remember.

it's not even so much about that. Lol i almost see it like the local owner of a restaurant trying to ban me because i said their tacos were bad. Since she wants to have a corporation now. I'm not trying to make it into a big hoopla, but hey i'm spreading the knowledge of what she did so you'll know what you're possibly spending your 100 dollars on if you do join her site. Would you want to join a site, or be part of something where the owner acts like that?

its funny how folks were complaining about 6.50 here......after hearing about 9.99 a month....6.50 don't look so bad no more
 
damn 9.99 a month?...wow :perplexed: if she where smart she would have a 9.99 a month fee or a flat rate for 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Kinda like dating websites do. however, there is no way Im going out of my pockets there for the same hair advice I can get here for pennies a day.
 
Her hair is gorgeous!!!I may even purchase her rollersetting DvD. Definately not knocking her hustle at all. with that said...there s no way:nono:i'd pay $100 a year for majority of stuff i can get for free at other sites,or othrs fokti's just from doin my own research.
 
I think I've had enough fun for the night with this mess. I'm going to try to go to bed. I hope my hair grows overnight! LOL

It is kinda ironic that during quite possibly the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression she'd slap on a $9.99 monthly/$100 annual fee. No way, no how for me. I love me some LHCF. Get my hair porn, er care needs met right here, yes siree Bob! :yep:

It's very impractical.She should charge lower and then wait until her popularity grows.
Like for example, a person that does hair for celebrities or has a great porfolio..probably could almost...almost get away with this.
 
I wonder how many people will stick around, I am a member now, and I'm going to miss the Newbies groups I created. I had plans for the future, and that group is growing so fast. :(
 
A statement from Macherie, over the negative backlash.
"eh its to be expected. It was a shock but I needed to make the announcement. My decision is made and Im not going to be bullied into lowering the price or jumping through hoops because I cant possibly please everyone and for the resource I envision providing for people, I am comfortable with the fee. The part that bothers me is, if you wanna leave then just leave. But some people have joined other boards and are still here trying to recruit members, bad mouth me, etc. Its to the point where I have to ban people. The site launches in two weeks. I dont want the last weeks here to be about the board getting ransacked. If thats the case, I will just shut it down now and the new sites can build their membership one by one like everyone else. "
 
There are many people that seem ok with it, with the exception of the angry blogs, which is to be expected.
One person broke it down to $2.50 a week,which I guess in essence sounds more reasonable.
eta: I think I'll join it for about 1-6 months, I am really curious now!I also feel guilty if I don't try it out, without Macherie, I don't know where I would be. Her saran wrap video( with the addition to aveda beauty school, but that is a whole other story) started it all.

Can't knock her hustle but usually hustlers are smart about theirs.

I'm a member there. But I just joined like a few months ago so it's not a biggie to me. All that "personal" stuff she is offering is so extra it's bordering on narcissism. I wouldn't pay $100 a yr.

And unless your hair is JACKED up to the freaking EXTREME jacked up to where you have one strand coming out your head, I don't understand why anyone else would either. I'd rather just donate money to Traycee's site or something.

She should've charged a one-time registration fee. I can even understand $10 or 20 a year. But she is out of her mind if she thinks anyone is buying that she will be outta pocket with 84 people spending $100 a year. She better redo that math on that business plan. Nobody is buying that.

She's offered great hair advice and she is talented at HERS, but come on be real.

They might as well come on over and join LHCF. Between LHCF, BHM, Fotki/YouTube, free nings like KISS and just plain old GOOGLE. . .wtf else could you possibly need to know? All that stuff = $6.50 plus a cable modem :rolleyes:
