 First of all, you are GORGEOUS!! Ok! You can rock a bald head and still look good! I think it is a matter of getting used to the new length and your natural hair texture. With time, practice and a little playing around, you'll find what makes you feel comfortable, but I think you look fantastic...

You look pretty. I think it's always an initial shock trying to get used to how you look with a twa, but not that it matters I think you look nice.

MissNorway,

You say you look hideous. HMMMM, are there other pictures you have that reflect what you are seeing because the pictures you posted here is far from ugly, hideous, gross or anything like that. :nono: So I dont know what you are talking about; I'm lost.:look:

I will respect that fact that you probably need to adjust to your hairstyle because you are used to having long hair. Just give it a little time, you will come around to see just what I and everyone else sees, which is a gorgeous haircut.

Okay, so now on to what really. I actually love your short hair. It is full and healthy looking. Plus, you have an excellent bone structure so you really set the look off. The earrings are funky so they compliment the haircut as well. Honestly, seeing your hair makes me so envious because I am transitioning and I want to BC too but I dont have your texture so I must give more time to acquire more length to my natural hair before I BC. Anyhoo, you look fabulous and I am not just saying that to make you look good. If I did not like the haircut (and I am very critical), I would have just read the posts and kept it moving without replying. I believe in the old saying, "if you have nothing nice to say, dont say a thing" and I would not lie to you because would be wrong. Saying you look great and I know you dont.

Hey, I wonder MissNorway, are you fishing for compliments????? You sure you're not showing off on us??????:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Truly, you look fabulous, it really suits you!!! I love it. Keep taking care of that hair.

Cosigning! I was in shock when I bc'd so I kept it braided until I got use to it.

MissNorway, you look absolutely FABULOUS with your big chop. All it does is compliment the gorgeous bone structure that you have. Give it time and you'll get used to it. But trust me, you look LOVELY!

yes this happened to me, when you have long hair weighing down the ng it appears looser and longer ir's very deceiving but when you cut the weight off it just shrinks back up.

Hey, you had me thinking you looked like a dog when you look like a diva. Girl, your cut looks awesome. I can't wait till it is my turn!

You look beautiful! don't fret. Initially it is a shock...as time goes on...you will find that what you get when u initially BC is not how your hair is in a few months. My hair is much different now about 5 months in than it was when it start. Your hair is also in shock. Just continue giving it TLC and find the products that work for you. Right about now...fotki is your best friend. It is a great way to learn about techniques and products. I personally think your texture is beautiful. As are you!

Thank you CD. I looked at your Fotki and it looks like we have somewhat of a similar texture. I will definitely look to your album for advice.'

Congratulations on your BC! I know its a bit shocking when you cut your hair. Before the BC I thought I was a 3b, after I cut it I realized that the relaxed ends was weighing down my hair and giving the appearance of a different texture. Try to find products that will work with your hair and give yourself a little while to fall in love with your new look. It took me a few months to like my hair. Its not always love at first sight. Good luck!

LOL, I wish that is how I felt about it. I know I just have to get used to it. I woke up today, took my scarf off and had a mini shock again. No one IRL has seen me yet, except from my SO in pics i sent him and he loves it, he won't stop talking about it.
My roomie and my close friends have been very supportive and I know they will encourage me.
But no, I'm not fishing for compliments, but I do truly appreciate them, Thank you so much.

MissNorway, I love your cut!!!! You have such a pretty face, and your hair compliments that. I know that after a week or two you'll love your new cut and being newly natural.

Girl stop stressing you and your hair look good :yep:
At least you can pull off a Bc i certainly can not :nono:

OMG girl, what are you talking about. I think you look HOT!

Really, I think most naturals feel that way at first because it is what it is...a Transition.
Don't worry about the texture and you will learn to love and even worship your new style.

Enjoy the change. It is only a CHANGE and not permanent. It will eventually grow and if later you still don't like it you can always perm.
